I think Snell is good. I'm not sure why we haven't worked him in but i'm guessing lack of practice.

Premium Member Popular Post JayBirdHawk Posted January 30, 2021 Author Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted January 30, 2021 He's got wiggle off the dribble! Quote De’Andre Hunter, Atlanta I already noted Hunter’s emergence in a piece earlier this year, so I won’t belabor the point too long, but he’s shown no signs of slowing down. The second-year forward had a concerning rookie year — an older rookie (22) who nonetheless scored at a low rate and shot 45.4 percent on 2s. The Hawks tried to use him as a secondary ballhandler, and it didn’t really take. This year, it is taking and then some. Hunter’s improved wiggle off the dribble is the main reason he’s become a much more lethal offensive player. That 2-point percentage is now a sizzling 60.0 percent, and it’s not just dunks and layups. Hunter has become much more comfortable with short pull-ups and runners, with a third of his shots coming from midrange and a conversion rate of 55 percent, according to Cleaning the Glass. Overall, Hunter’s PER jump from last year’s piddling 8.6 to this year’s 17.6 is one of the largest in recent annals. He’s also defending the opponent’s best players on most nights, and his emergence is the main reason the Hawks are over .500 despite myriad injuries and an early slump from Trae Young. Even with the bias against second-year players, he has a real shot at winning the Most Improved Player trophy. https://theathletic.com/2349438/2021/01/28/jerami-grant-gordon-hayward-headline-nba-all-surprise-team-2021/ 4

marco102
Not sure if this is considered an update on Hunter, but it gives a timeline regarding his recovery. If it's a week, he should be back for the weekend games. https://theathletic.com/2357288/2021/02/01/atlanta-hawks-trae-young-john-collins-deandre-hunter/ Quote Hunter underwent a non-surgical procedure on Saturday, which, according to Dr. Deepak Chona, the founder of SportsMedAnalytics, was likely a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection, which takes a sample of Hunter’d blood, takes out the components that stimulate healing and concentrate them into a solution that is then injected into his knee. Chona’s professional medical opinion is Hunter will miss one to two weeks depending on how his knee heals. What’s more concerning with Hunter having articular wear and tear is it means the protective layers in the joint have been damaged, and it’s likely to linger, which may lead to pain and swelling with increased durations of intense activity. Chona said this type of injury mainly is managed on a case-by-case basis with the player being able to handle symptoms and playing through them.

He missed the start of the season and has played in only 7 games so far.

Premium Member JayBirdHawk Posted March 13, 2021 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted March 13, 2021 2019 Redraft: 4. De’Andre Hunter, Atlanta (actual pick: fourth): Hey, the league is 4 for 4 so far! This never happens. Good job, everyone. Shooting up the board this year after a hugely disappointing rookie season, Hunter was a candidate to win the Most Improved Player award before being sidelined with a knee injury. He was an older rookie and is already 23, but his performance this year (PER 17.5 with solid D at the league’s hardest position to fill) is the thing that teams with the next set of prospects are just hoping they get somewhere down the line.
