So the monkey is officially off Nate's back moving into the second round and he is rewarded for a masterful job regular and post season. Created very good defense where it appeared we had precious little before Nate Time. Chemistry can not ever be overrated.

Someone mentioned something earlier.  Nate is still running Lloyd's system with some tweeks.  He def needs to keep that offensive system that we've been running and not try to overhaul it too much.  I'll be curious to see what changes he makes with the staff and system.

He needs to keep it. LP system is built on our strengths. We just needed a coach who can modify it for our personnel. Something LP struggled at

Trae was on V103 Radio this morning and he pretty much said (without actually saying) that Nate is getting the job.  Didn;t want the announcement to be a distraction since we are still in the playoffs.

Stephen A Smith said yesterday that Nate has a contract in place even though it hasn't been announced yet. He said he had "sources" .

I'm just going to say it.  Thibs didn't deserve the award.  Who was the last guy to win taking a sub par team to a middling playoff appearance?  You have to go back almost 40 years to see a COY with a worse winning % than the knicks.   This is straight up NY bias.

And i don't really think Nate should have won either.   Quin Snyder or Monty Williams had much stronger cases.  In fact, if you're saying Utah was already a very good team then what is the rationale to give Thibs the nod over Monty Williams when one took a non playoff team to 2nd in the west.

Monty should have won. There is no way they were going to give that award to Nate. No Hawk made the All Star team or was even a finalist in any of the awards. It is a complete  joke.
