In the playoffs with a young core that has not hit its ceiling.  Oh man...the feels.  Not as emotional as that 2008 run, but I am way more excited about this team's potential.

2008 was special. I still remember the excitement of going to see Joe, Smoove, Chillz, Marv, Horf, and Bibby live in the 1st round of the Playoffs. It was a ~3hr drive, but I didn't care. Good times. I honestly think this go round has the potential to be better.

2008 was crazy because we looked so bad in Boston. We didn’t even dominate the games here, we just found ways to win. The 1/8 series with Boston and Indiana both ended the wrong way, but were a lot of fun.

The Hawks were a different team at home during the 2008 Playoffs. The crowd was so raucous and you could tell the players fed off of that. Hawks fans were trash talking Celts fans after the games on the way out to their cars. They gave the Celtics all they could handle at home and then fell flat on their faces on the road. Still, a great time. Those times are the reason I don't look at guys like Smoove, Chillz, Marv, or even Horf in a negative way since I watched those guys develop since they were drafted.

That's the scary part.

No matter what happens the rest of the way, before this season, the goal was to get in to the playoffs. We did that. No moving goalposts.

When the season started and we saw the potential of this squad early, the goal was to get a top-6 seed and avoid the play-in. Through the ups and downs, injuries and coaching change We DID THAT. No moving goalposts.

We all want more. The job isn't done. We want to get homecourt and win a series or two. But regardless of what happens, just remember where we started and what we all agreed would define a great season. Appreciate what we HAVE accomplished before we start tearing down the coaching and players when we don't win a championship at the end of this season. We are right where we are supposed to be. No moving goalposts.
