Knicks Rd1 - Playoffs Series 2021

As the game wrapped, my brother texted me:

"I'm sticking with the national media and picking the knicks in 9."

A few series numbers that pop:

Bogi with 7 steals, probably the same number of deflections as well.

Kevin with 7 blocks and a Kyle Korver-like .455 from distance

John with 2 stinking turnovers.  Randle had 8 in one elimination game wtf (23 total).

What I appreciated about Bogi, in the games he struggled shooting - you could feel his impact elsewhere,  his rebounding numbers were also good.

His and Kevin Joseph Heurter's defense were eye-opening.  KJH morphed into a different person in the playoffs.

So they had two segments on First Take on BSPN about the Hawks series. Not one word was said in both segments about the Hawks. It was literally just about the Knicks and if this season was a success or not. That was the first segment. Second segment was Perkins making fun of Smith since Perkins picked the Hawks to win the series. And yet, somehow, nothing was actually said about the Hawks or why we won the series. Amazing. 

I've never seen a team win a playoff series and get almost zero national attention on why they won. Instead, it is only about the Knicks losing. The disrespect is real.

We are the National Media Worst Nightmare. 

They know nothing about us.   All they know is Trae and many of them spent the last two seasons disrespecting Trae.   They called us foolish for trading Luka for him and that's all they know about us.   They call Trae an allstar even though he is not one this year.   They refer to us like we are a team full of children.   That's why we have to Beat Respect into the League and the Media.  We just toppled one of their golden idols and still no respect. 

This is how radical the disrespect goes.  We gave NY the Biggest Disrespect possible.   We told them that we were going to come into their house and send them packing.  And then ... we did it.   And the National Media still won't say a word about us.  Well....I hope we keep that same energy as we beat the 76ers and we dethrone the winner of the Nets/Bucks game. 

This year, we go to the finals and we make them respect us.
