CP the Fanchise has accepted that the Hawks are just better.  Ashley though . . is frustrated beyond belief.

Not as fun when the other side starts to adopt a modicum of humility. I prefer some arrogance mixed in those tears.

Gonna say this here, though I don't mean to hijack the thread over to this topic... it just seems appropriate to say it here, given the frustration and disappointment that saturates these Knicks fans' moaning...

That is... I for one can easily imagine that w/o Schlenk's purposeful blueprint these last three years, the things being said here by Knicks fans would be things being said by us, or words to the same effect based on the same results. The tables would be turned, and we'd be complaining similarly regardless of who the opponent was.

The Knicks organization has not had any solid direction for years, and truth be told, they've lucked into Randle being as good this season as he's been (hence the "MIP" certificate). But it would be even worse for us, b/c at least, like their neighbors across town, they conceivably can legitimately mentally ascend to scoring big names in free agency, where we cannot.

So, again I was among the less-than-enthusiastic here when the Dwight trade went down that effectively began this era/saga of Hawks basketball. But along with the sadistic nature o mine that underlies my starting this "official" thread, there's a more virtuous nature of appreciation that the pendulum has swung from Belkin-and-company to Ressler-and-company, and with that, from a front office that seemed consistently more reactionary than it was one that followed a well-thought-out plan of action... and that though, sure, eventually we were going to get back to the playoffs... by any measure, our stock price is trending upward significantly better than what the Knicks' (the definition of "reactionary," no?) is, and, thus, significantly better than it would have been w/o the engine overhaul.

- why are we not attacking Trae on defense

Sounds like us in years past. Maaaan, these are really great times for us. I’m really just thankful for this brand of Hawks basketball, quality.
