That series was atrocious.  2006 finals felt biased to me as well but not completely rigged.  And to an even lesser extent, 2016 (this series felt like how the 4th quarter of game 1 against the 76ers was officiated).  They let the Cavs play rugby on the Warriors... This year has been very good overall.  I actually feel like Silver is making an effort to make sure the series are all officiated fairly, home crowd or not.  I think the NBA is getting ready to dive deeper into the gambling market

Nah, it's not just us Hawks fans. Ratings are skyrocketing this year after being in a free fall. The "Lebron era" was lame, with flopping, over sensitive entitled stars that moved around to create super teams, and overall marketing that catered exclusivelyt to casual bandwaggon fans. We are seeing a lot of younger stars emerge now and completely disrupting the balance of power resulting in unpredictable outcomes that are funner to watch. Also these guys have a chip on the shoulder, and don't seem to have that off putting entitlement that characterized the prevoius generation of stars.

I wholeheartedly agree.  This is my favorite playoffs in a long time, maybe ever.  And not just cuz my Hawks are doing the best they have ever done in Atlanta.
