We can't defend them that's the point , this would have been much closer , unless we just.conceded with a half-ass effort on purpose

I think we came out believing that the three pointer would be our savior.   When we settled down and started running sets is when we started coming back.  The three ball has it's place but we take way too many heat checks and when we are behind, we have to get the mindset that we're going to score period.  not hit a heroball 3 pter.

His eye? He wasn't even wearing goggles or anything. He played like absolute crap, and it wouldn't be the first time in these playoffs. Stop making excuses for him.

How many minutes did he play tonight? Injuries are injuries, can't help it if you don't like facts.

He scrapped and did himself proud in that series.  Too many soft games in this one.  We need him to step up and embrace the underdog role.

He was alright during that series, I'm still wondering how much can he be relied on? No Trae, where is John? I knew it was a wrap when he got out-muscled by that Pat guy.

He got elbowed in the face. He's fine. He just played like shit, as he has numerous times in these playoffs compared to who he was in the regular season.

The slow start is what did us in tonight. We definitely did the same thing the Bucks did last game: came out thinking we were just gonna show up and win when they didn't have their star player. But the silver lining going forward, even with the Bucks hitting everything and seemingly every ball bouncing their way:

If we had come out with more intensity in the 1st quarter it would have been a different game. We know what we have to do to win game 6 and then game 7 on the road. Let's get it done!

No one sees the glass half full like Mike Conti.

And nobody sees it half empty like some of our fine folks around here.

Do we have the money to sign Bobby Portis? He will surely opt of his 3.5 million dollar player option.

You only do it if Nate commits to playing bigger lineups

With Okongwu now showing that he may can handle playing meaningful backup minutes at the 5, the need for the Hawks turn to backup PG . . or a legit #2 option that can take over the game.

Pretty sure this is Brook's first 30 point game as a Buck. Embarrassing how he outworked this whole team

Outworked? WHERE?  Lopez didn't have to work. He was just LITERALLY walking to the rim for layups, hooks and rebounds.  The hardest work he had to do tonight was lacing up his sneakers.

Cmsounds like portis would do what Collins does for half the price

John is an awesome guy everyone wants him here but I hope these guys don't start doing what the falcons did

The legit #2 option should be Hunter next year. He is clearly our 2nd best player and he's greatly missed in these playoffs.

Or if we can somehow pry KAT or Siakam away in trade, which isn't likely. Our conundrum with the potential JC contract is, there really just aren't that many great power forwards in the NBA today. Some team is likely to make him an overpay offer simply because of the talent vacuum at that position.
