Popular Post RandomFan
No matter what, this was a heck of a ride for a team making their first playoff run. Such a young team we have so much to look forward too in the coming years. A healthy Hunter and Trae and this is a different series. Can't wait for next year. For the Miserable Ones that only want to whine and not give this team it's props, go cry in your own thread. We're gonna have a lot of games on national TV next year, we finally have a recognized superstar to build around, and enough young players with development still left to still make a big jump. GO HAWKS!!!! 26

Popular Post GameTime
Its official. Finally got a superstar folks. First since Nique. This team when healthy is built for another long playoff run. Hunter and Cam as two way players guarding the elite wings and Trae running the point. Bogi an elite sharp shooter with Capela/Collins/Okongwu as rim runners. Future is bright for this team. Edited July 4, 2021 by GameTime

Popular Post Dejay
All things considering, I'm not even as upset that it ended tonight as opposed to watching other local teams whom were favored to win big games wet the bed. I know that there are some angry folks here tonight but keep this in mind. We weren't supposed to be here, remember? Even after Nate Dogg got them off the deck and into the playoffs, they weren't supposed to be a match for the Knicks. And even after Trae sent them to the Phantom Zone, it took national folks 0.0000648 seconds to say that they'd get swept against Philly. They're now ready to trade everyone, including first-born kids to add (insert anyone who can shoot a basketball here) after the Hawks put them down. They were too injured, banged up, and simply ran out of gas. While we can wax poetic about what would've happened had Trae's foot went eight inches elsewhere in Game 3 or if Hunter was available, it is what it is. For the first time in well over 30 years, they are a legitimate contender to win it all. Get healthier, get stronger, and use the talk of the naysayers whom are sure to come out as fuel as they've always done. So instead of firing off trade proposals and free agent additions for the night, let's take the time to appreciate what we witnessed over this past month. I know that I will. Because unlike the '89 or '15 teams, this isn't the end of the line. For the very first time, we have a strong front office and engaged ownership. That goes an extremely LONG way in terms of staying within hailing range of winning world title. This is only the beginning of a very long journey... Popular Post Threezus
Super proud of the guys out there they gave it what they had and fought back in multiple games never giving up. Thats all i can ever ask for a team is to put in the heart and effort no matter the talent differential. You give me that and i'll support you all day long no matter the record. Might not support the front office based on the record but i'll have the players back for trying XD Love the Hawks and glad i got to see this season and watch them grow and really awesome to see Trae proven right that with some talent around him their a whole different tier of a team and a guaranteed playoff quality team.
Popular Post DieHardHAWK
Being an Atlanta fan you always having that feeling of missing a shot....we really had a great opportunity this time and hopefully we get further soon. It sucks because I always want more but I respect and salute what they did give....We gut to see what pieces we need and a young team got conference finals experience. I fell in love with this bunch and is sad that some will leave. Man Gallo gave played his heart out, what a vet shooter. Lou saved us too. I hope we earned enough respect in the league to get some calls our way from these injury inflicting refs. Until the next time....GO HAWKS

Just one freak accident completely changed the outcome of this series. The Hawks take this in 6 with a healthy Trae.

Premium Member Diesel Posted July 4, 2021 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 4, 2021 When this season started, I purchased NBA League Pass to follow the Hawks. I questioned myself on the purchase. As LP lead this team to mediocrity, I really questioned myself. But I watched them have fun and even though Trae still took too many heat checks... they were fun to watch. Then the injuries. Then in comes Nate... and Nate brought a breath of fresh air. When we got to the playoffs... I was ready to see us do great things. I didn't share this before, but here is my bracket from NBA.COM So the Hawks did this old fan proud and I have nothing but respect for the team and praise for what they've done this season.
