Ant still went #1. But Cooper fell to the second round. Unfortunately, those corporate types are the ones cutting the checks and they care about appearances and perception, fair or not.

I didn't want us to draft Cooper at #20, but at #48 he's a no brainer. The rest of the league is foolish for letting him drop. Even though it was a deep draft for PGs, there weren't 47 better prospects than Cooper. The areas of game he needs to improve upon are fixable. But you can't teach his playmaking ability.

Two thoughts;

1) It's starting to look like the 70's again the way these young cats all rock big fro's nowadays. I know it's styled differently today but it's all got it's roots back in the original. 

2) I wondered if Knight was going to come off of #1. UDFA's probably don't have the right to retain jersey numbers  incoming vets and 1st round picks. Jalen definitely took claim to it fast. Good for them. I love when guys get to rock their college numbers.

What a time to be a Hawks fan.  One of the youngest teams in the league looking to build off a Conference Finals appearance?  That’s highly abnormal.  With more luck in the health department (tighten up, Emory) we’re looking at a 10 year window of high level contending.  We’re the bulldozer shaping the East landscape, just gotta get over that rebounding hump versus the Bucks while keeping Lamelo and them at bay.

Sharife Cooper, PG, was the second PG in the past 25 seasons to average over 20 points and 8 assists per game in division 1 college ball?  Well, he was.  This is elite company.  Wow!  And, just who was this other PG who averaged this?  Go ahead.  Guess !!

I was excited about Hanno Mottola as a second round pick because I used to watch Utah ball with Majerus, KVH, Andre Miller and Hanno. Solid player. Him, Salim and prolly Rodney Monroe from NC state. I was super pumped when we got him. He didn’t amount to much which kind of surprised me.
