Solid end of the bench guy. I know everyone hates him but he was asked to step into a starting role for a majority of the season and during the playoffs and for your third/fourth SF on the depth chart to be able to step in and give you minutes in a pinch is what you want in that spot. Not to mention the intangibles (stepping up for Trae, locker room chemistry etc.)

Not a fan. I know he's a locker room leader guy and he's got some dog in him (compliment) but this dude can't shoot at all.

If we're healthy, he won't play much this season. Every good team needs that guy that keeps the lockerroom loose and also injects energy into them.

And can go in and not be a disaster if everyone gets injured like last year.

At all? Memories are so short. Not only is that not true but with all the shooters we have it doesn't matter.

We're not bringing Solo back to shoot regardless. We're bringing him to keep the intangibles of a championship team. You can go down the line of every championship team and see a few players that wouldn't come nowhere to sniffing a ring if they weren't on that team.

All players have a role to play and certain intangibles that they bring to a team. Whether it's a mentality/toughness, 6 fouls, cheerleading/support. The things that don't get stats on the court but make the world of difference.

Solo is that guy for us. Plus he will play his heart out and hopefully this season he doesn't have to burn himself out playing his heart out all season and may be a little more serviceable during the playoffs if it's even necessary that he gets playing time at all.

A poster here has something about having nice hubcaps but other parts are necessary to have a nice car.  This sure applies here.  Not all parts of a car do the same job.  I remember the old joke about the old clunker of a car:  Car quit.  The owner said, " The fuel pump won't pump, the spark plugs won't spark and the pistons won't work either."

Solo can't do many of the things that other players on the roster can do.  He's certainly no all star.  But what he brings to the team is important.  Look in a carpenter's tool box.  Not all his tools are alike and do the same thing.  Some may not be used a lot but, if one is missing, it can stop the entire job.
