Premium Member Diesel Posted December 28, 2021 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 28, 2021 If the Falcons beat the Saints and the Bills, does this guarantee that they go to the playoffs?
Dnice
Probably not, stuff is too wild to keep up with.. Vikings and SF need losses somewhere...
Premium Member Jdawgflow Posted December 29, 2021 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 29, 2021 9ers and Eagles would both have to lose both of their games for sure since we lost H2H. Not sure about Minny.

Falcons have passed away. Rookie Pitts injured then the old QB let his mouth run and it was all over. Perhaps they can do something about their payroll problem before next season. Too many high priced players on a losing team. We can lose without them. So long until this fall. Edited January 2, 2022 by Gray Mule
Premium Member Diesel Posted January 3, 2022 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted January 3, 2022 The end for the Falcons was the loss of Calvin Ridley. His "injury" caused us to fall into a deep funk. I'm not mad at Smith's coaching. So how should we proceed in the draft? 1. DE 2. WR 3 QB I spelled his name wrong in the other thread: Will Levis. Moderators macdaddy Posted January 3, 2022 Moderators Report Share Posted January 3, 2022 I've been critical of Ryan even though i love the guy. He had some games this season where he played well, but i think yesterday is just further proof that we need to move on. Honestly there were glimpses this season that he could still do it with a better supporting cast but it will just take a truly great supporting cast. We had one big offensive play the whole game and that was a pass that Pitts caught that was way behind him and then ran for 20+ yards. It's funny how teams with even moderately mobile QBs seem to have really good offensive lines and ours is crap year after year. We had a drive that started on the Buffalo 25 and we had to punt? my goodness.
Gray Mule
Ryan's big hit on the payroll is one reason we don't have a better team. Not enough $$$ left. He's been good. He's still pretty good. Just not worth what he's being paid. Time to move on from our all star wide receiver who is already gone and Ryan. Losing our #1 receiver to mental health didn't help any either. Trade Ryan or re-work his contract. Either way, draft a new, mobile QB.
Moderators macdaddy Posted January 3, 2022 Moderators Report Share Posted January 3, 2022 I"m realizing now that we can keep the Saints out of the playoffs! So I hope we play hard in this one. It'll be a quasi-successful season where all games mattered and we beat the aints twice.

This is my only ask from this team....beat the Saints.
Spud2nique
@TheNorthCydeRises nice win Bengals. I like your squad. Between this dude and Sewell for us, you got a stud. Congrats North. I rooted Ickey and Bengals over Niners in 88. Boomer baby. Lol

We obviously need more talent on the defensive side of the ball. But that offense is special when they're on. I don't want to play the Titans. Derrick Henry will destroy us in his return game. But I do, seeing that I'm an hour away from Nashville.
TheNorthCydeRises
Good weakside challenge by Okongwu on that Barrett drive. That's where he's best at. Good pass Lou.
TheNorthCydeRises
Our defensive scheme is just jacked up. Way too much switching of guards to big men. Makes no sense.

Moderators macdaddy Posted January 24, 2022 Moderators Report Share Posted January 24, 2022 Amazing NFL games yesterday. Can anyone honestly say that Matt Ryan is capable of doing what Stafford, Mahomes, Allen, Brady did yesterday? I don't. Truly amazing stuff.

That’s KC Bills game was a top 5 finish I’ve ever seen in my life. Wow, just wow. 3 road teams winning by a FG to end it.

I know this is an unpopular opinion but learning a new system and having your best wide receiver traded and your second best wide receiver leave.... Matty ICE did good with the cards he was dealt. Plus, we don't have a pass rush. The teams that are left have the trenches covered. It just may be San Francisco and Cincy in the Bowl. Somebody go get Munoz and Ken Anderson with the Stache.... Absolutely Matt did good this season but the sooner we admit that he's no longer on the level of the top QBs in the league the sooner we can move on.
