Popular Post TheNorthCydeRises
Talked for a pretty good bit. I caught about 10 minuts of it, but I can go back in time and listen to the interview. NBA Radio allows you to go back up to the beginning of each show. Here was his thoughts. Nothing real groundbreaking, but always interested in what someone from our organization is thinking about. Playoff basketball thoughts for the 4 remaining teams: Comes down to game to game and the series can turn at any time Health is unknown for a few teams Hawks were able to beat Sixers last year, what is it like game planning for Embiid Miami was a tough matchup due to their ability to switch 1 - 5 and take away guard penetration Had nothing to go with inside Philly presents that inside presence with Embiid back. Without Embiid, Philly was able to switch everything to slow down Harden Sixers - Heat will go 7 games Miami will double Embiid and try to take the ball out of his hands, to force other players to beat them Spolestra has leaned more toward the defensive end, due to Philly's firepower, due to Oladipo playing instead of Robinson Nate agrees. They started that strategy against the Hawks Praises Oladipo's multi-skill set Iguodala and PJ Tucker brings that defensive identity What happened with Trae in the Heat series? Playoff is all about matchups, and it was a tough matchup for the Hawks All of the Heat main guys can switch 1 - 5 Boston can do the same thing Who is the most unstoppable player in the NBA right now Giannis Tells a story about Giannis stealing the ball with 3 - 4 seconds left, despite the Bucks being up by 15 - 20 points. He doesn't have an "off" switch Haven't seen anyone play every possession like that since Kevin Garnett Termine cites Tony Ressler's comment about the Hawks being complacent Nate didn't hear or read Tony's comments . . . ( interesting ) 5 Hawks had procedures in summer, and the Hawks were behind going into Training Camp Starting off the season slow makes it difficult to catch up Every single player ( except Hunter ), including every coach missed at least 2 games due to COVID. 3 Assistant Coaches coached a game this year Thought his guys fought through it to get into the Play-In, win a spot, and just had a bad matchup in the 1st round What do you do when you're watching a game right now? Nate is watching and studying all of the games, and seeing the adjustments being made He always questions to himself . . . "What could I have done better"? Writes down . . where are we weak? Where do we need to get better? Watches games to prepare for offseason 3

That's what happens when your sinuses are messing with you, and you think you know what you're doing . . . but you don't. LOL . . I was actually looking for this topic late last night, and wondering where the hell it went. I took off from work yesterday because my head was killing me. I'm about 75% now.

Gray Mule
Why here? For contrast, that's why! Nate and the draft - - Oil and water - they do not mix! Question for Nate: "If we draft this player, what will you do?" Answer: "Send him to the G League and hope to never see him again." Building the Hawks!
