Premium Member Atlantaholic Posted May 13, 2022 Premium Member Report Share Posted May 13, 2022 Another year another Philly second round exit, another year of their supposed "leaders" pointing the finger at anyone and anything but themselves. Last year both Doc and Embiid wasted no time whatsoever throwing their 33 million dollar a year PG directly under the bus the instant game 7 wrapped up and now we have Embiid taking shots at his teammates and Doc basically echoing that sentiment and saying the team "was not good" when he took over. At some point as a leader and a man you take that big f***ing finger and point it at yourself, no? 1

There's an obvious scapegoat but honestly he probably deserves the blame. Harden was awful. There again is a poorly constructed team. I think Embiid is harder to build around than Trae. Embiid is a perennial MVP Center who can stretch the floor. He's easy to build around in theory, but the problem is you reach the playoffs and he breaks down or runs out of gas. At some point this needs to be addressed. You can't continue blaming other players on your team for not stepping up when you just shot 29% in an elimination game drubbing at home. Doc's utter and complete lack of taking any accountability is an ENORMOUS red flag, and I would fire him on the spot if I was calling the shots. (Would have done it after last year to be honest).-
kg01
Can't trust this guy ... 6er fans'll convince themselves he's just 'keepin it real' and 'tellinitlike it is'. Nah, this dude is deflecting away from the fact that he breaks down every year and remains in questionable shape. 1
