If they ask you to explain in more detail, then you use more words.  On a sports forum you can write however you want.

This is 100% true for Executives in my experience.  You better have the details behind the bullet points but I’d never prepare an executive briefing that resembled many of my long posts.  The long posts on here are to provide the backing data / rationale.
