Technical Issue - Problems with Hawksquawk Theme / Skin

Just wanted to alert people (in a higher profile format) that a recent issue outside of our control interfered with the site and seems to have left the normal Squawk "theme" or "skin" not working properly.  (Things like an inability to react to posts, to quote posts, etc.).  

You'll need to switch to a different theme to correct this.  Fortunately, this is pretty easily done as it is something you can access  on your computer or phone at any time.  

If you go to the bottom of the screen, you'll see a link for "Themes."  

Click on that and then things should work fine if you select the "Default - DO NOT EDIT" theme.

Our great admin is looking into replacing the "Hawksquawk Enhanced" theme that we've enjoyed the last few years but that is now creating these problems.

Thanks...  I was wondering how people were reacting posts after the meltdown.  Although, I'm probably gonna switch back and just deal with the likes.  This default palette makes me feel like I'm on the old AJC forums...or RealGM *shudder*

Sorry the site was down ... I was on vacation and forgot to pay.  It is monthly and you have to manually  pay before each month.

Default theme still locks up for me, basically everytime income to squak I have to shut down my browser, this is the only site this happens on.

It locks up my phone using Chrome.  I have to use a different browser.

If you are using the Hawksquawk default … it is outdated by many updates to the invision software.  If you are using the blue default … that is what is currently provided by invision … that should work … I also a, using chrome on both phone, iPad and pc and have not been having issues.  I will see what I can figure out.

same here - but also struggles on EDGE etc, it seems to be the ads maybe a java issue with them - it seems to happen when I scroll over a certain type of ad

I thought it might have been an issue with my new phone's firmware and/or OS (Pixel 7 pro) - because there was a domino effect where my apps would start crashing and the phone would eventually lock up.  That's when noticed it was starting while browsing the Squawk. 

I started using Brave to browse the site and haven't had a lock up since.  I'll see if I can reproduce the error with Chrome.

Im still having huge issues on android. Using both Chrome and Brave, the forum freezes my browser/phone.

Same still happening to me too on my phone @capstone21

I tried to screenshot it just now, but my phone had a whole meltdown. Haven't seen it freeze on Brave, but it's happening like clockwork on Chrome.

I want to say that it happens even when Hawksquawk isn't the active tab.
