Either one is fine as long as it results in a buyout.

The initial trade discussion back in July was he was supposed to be bought out immediately, but for some reason he's still on the team.

I would surmise the ongoing is the buyout amount, how much is Zeller willing to give up. He won't want to give up too much if he doesn't have another team to get a vet min from so he can offset his buyout amount l.

We are currently $1.2 million under the tax...so add whatever the buyout number is will be added to that. Close to a $2.2 vet min player.

FYI - we still have the ~$12 mil MLE and ~$26 mil TPE

When you say to add the "buyout number" is the buyout number equal to the difference between $3.5M and the buyout?  I.e., if he took a $2.5M buyout this would mean $3.5M - $2.5M = $1M.  So $1M + $1.2M = $2.2M in room to add a 15th contract to the roster?

Yes. Whatever the Hawks save off his $3.5
