What impresses me the most in this reel is the number of times that Hunter drove all the way from the three point line to the rim. Dre has always struggled getting into the paint and usually settled for mid range pull ups and fade aways. It's great to see him using that Adonis body to mix it up.

Coaching.  He's getting the ball in positions of advantage and pushing that advantage to get good looks.  It's a far cry from whatever Nate had us doing on offense

First game he was 3-10 scoring 12 points. He’s always had a few good games in a row or a stand out game on occasion.  Hope this is a trend and not a one game thing.

Staying healthy for Dre is key. His entire career has been plagued with “Dre is playing great basketball right now” followed by an injury that takes forever for him to get back to where he was. Then he gets injured again.

It's probably as simple as understanding Quin's PhD style offense that has carried over from last season.

He just needs to stay on the floor.

Some of those were CHALLENGED shots.  This is why I keep saying that he could be a featured scorer.  No, not like Trae.  No, he is not gonna be your game in, game out everyday feautured scorer.  He has games like this where he is allowed to get in a groove.  Sometimes it happens because Trae is being suffocated, sometimes its good Hawks ball movement, sometimes he is featured in the play.  Daniels allows even more opportunites like this because now teams can't just overplay the Hawks on the wings.  When they do crash Hunter he is passing out of it as in the examples you showed in your earlier post.

On a side note, did you really see that first play in this clip?  That was a brilliant play drawn up.  Hunter is up top with the pick and roll with Capela.  As Capela rolls to the basket, the shooting guard flares out and Johnson steps out to the wing.  Hunter as four options.

Dyson will get all the accolades, but look at Hunter's defense on this last play. He had an excellent game.

I know it isn’t gonna hold but I’m gonna enjoy every minute of seeing his rating at 127 to 116 and WS/48 at .175.  

I’m glad he’s embracing this 6th man role where he’s obviously more valuable.  Looks like he added even more muscle to his awesome frame.

He just needed a role.  Been through 3 coaches.  I'm not a big supporter of Coach but we need to keep him a few years for some sort of continuity.

Love seeing Dre use his size/body to punish guys. Aggressive Dre is a good Dre!
