NBASupes Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 December 15th. I know, we want to do it earlier but ain't really much available for cheap. 1. Delon Wright for Mo Gueye and a future 2nd to Milwaukee. This clearly addresses our backup PG spot and it gives Milwaukee a draft asset they need. 2. Getting a starting center is critical. I'll go one by one Ayton Claxton Reid Kessler - I know Danny wants 2 1sts. Our 1 1st is really valuable. Two 1sts is extremely valuable and that's way more than market value. I know Danny probably is headstrong on the two 1sts but we could take back JC and give them CC. That would give them 26.5+ million back to their salary cap for trade flexibility for next year. Maybe that would give them just enough to do a Kessler deal. That would likely solve our issues: Trae/Delon/Bufkin Same crew Same crew JJ/Roddy or JC/Roddy Kessler or Ayton or Reid or Claxton/OO/Nance Jr. 3. I would like to see if we could get an asset like a 2nd or two 2nds for Nance Jr. for an expiring. Obviously, if we move both CC and OO, he has to stay but if we can't move them, I would like to see what we could get for him. One idea I had was Dennis for Nance Jr but Dennis recent play has made that trade look silly. 4
JTB Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 I like all the trades…. The one for Milwaukee is interesting because they could probably get more back for Delon if we are being truthful. The one with Utah that would bring us back Collin’s and Kessler is very interesting since JJ would remain on the team. We’d have our same PF starter and backup on the team again but with reversed roles OR it may create healthy competition. That last trade with Utah ….come on Supes you know Ainge ain’t going for that ! …it’s not a bad trade honestly but it’s Ainge.

Moderators macdaddy Posted November 1 Moderators Report Posted November 1 Getting JC back with Kessler would be kind of sweet actually. I still have faith that JC can be a good stretch 5 off the bench.
Premium Member shakes Posted November 1 Premium Member Report Posted November 1 If Portland was really willing to take a plate of total garbage with not a single asset coming back to them then that ought to tell you all you need to know about how horrible Ayton is.

Also to note, that this trade takes us ABOVE the Luxury Tax line by about $2.5 million. So either Tony is willing to pay or Roddy ($2.8 mil) will also need to be included.

Since the Kings pick isn't guaranteed to convey, you would also need to account for that. Can't have the Kings pick not convey and give up a lottery pick with the LA pick because AD and/or LeBron got hurt. 1
