Hawks looking to move John Collins? This again?
PSSSHHHRRR87 replied to thecampster's topic in Homecourt
It always cracks me up when I read about teams trying to get out of contracts... I'm like y'all the ones that offered these contracts and signed these players to theses deals... do you know what you are doing? And it's not like the return from a JC trade is going to put us over the top. Next, they'll be looking to trade DeJounte because his value is high! We are forever on the treadmill guys and gals. -
I am more anxious to see the defensive side of the ball with them vs. offense. We all know that this backcourt duo will average 45-50 points per game. Defensively is yet to be seen.

Wins for the coming 2022-23 season.

It really depends on what we get from Mariota and the o-line. This could be a 10-7 team or a 2-15 team. Toss up. -
Glad you are okay and made it through. COVID is no laughing matter.

Trae is a man of the people. Trae stood up a beat writer going at it with a fan. The string of tweets is pretty hilarious but the clap back by Trae stole the show! https://www.yardbarker.com/nba/articles/trae_young_calls_out_hawks_writer_over_insulting_a_fan/s1_127_36666875?utm_source=mb&utm_medium=email&mb_edition=20211209&mb_loc=right_h

Good back 'n forth game... Although talent to talent, the Magic shouldn't be hanging with us.

Trae has that ability to make his teammates better but it starts with him. A Trae who's shooting well is great thing for everyone.

It seems this thread has made "superstar" into an ambiguous term but it is a term that does get thrown around pretty loosely. Superstars are players that are capable of leading a team and getting a clutch basket when his team needs it most. A superstar is a player who captivates an audience and draws a crowd everywhere he goes.. it's not a consequence that Lebron tickets go for $$$ when he comes to Atlanta while Donovan Mitchell tickets... don't. A superstar also has the ability to make the players around him better. Trae has begun his journey to becoming a superstar player in the same breath as Curry but in order to get over the hump, he has to figure out how to play under the new foul rules, put the team on his back, and become the guy that everybody comes out to see. Team basketball is great to watch but it needs a leader. We have a talented team at every position that's capable to great things but it needs its leader to bring the energy and intensity. The quote from Trae about playoff basketball was disconcerting to me. We are not focused on the task at hand. We are not focused on winning basketball games. I put some of that on coach McMillan but it's on the players to go out there and perform.

I was at the game last night celebrating my birthday and even knowing the ref sucked and we couldn't hit a shot to save our lives, I still had a great time! I can't wait to see them again. It was cool seeing the World Series champs up on the jumbotron and Blooper in attendance too! I agree with Nate in that when the shots are not falling, it seems this team let's bad things happen on defense. Defense should be the fuel that leads to fire on offense; not vice versa. The fans love seeing hard work and effort on defense. I also agree that Trae needs to learn on when to be passive and aggressive but he cannot be the only one hitting shots. The wings have got to step up and Hunter did for a while until Utah started double teaming him and he let the refs get to him.

This city has been starved for a championship and I am so happy for Braves country to finally get over the hump and win another title. Hopefully we can get Acuna back next year and make this into a trend. Also, the Hawks are next. Give Cam, Hunter, and Huerter another two seasons and we'll be primed for title runs for years to come.
