I too thought the Hawks should have did the 1 for 2 deal with Charlotte. Felton and Mays would have been a good pick up along with Salim Stodamire.

Here, Here OGRat, that's the point I've been making the last few days. Cleveland tried to lock Boozer up for cheap but the market show otherwise. It's business, nothing personal. Gund and/or Paxson dropped the ball and are trying to make Boozer the bad guy/scapegoat.

That's kinda my point. The Clippers have been needing a point guard for awhile now.

No! We have Royal Ivey. Dooling's only 6'3". We have enough guards. We need bigmen.

Like someone said earlier. If Cleveland really wanted Boozer they could have traded Wagner/Battie. They wanted to lock him up for cheap but the market placed him higher.

The NBA is a business, just ask Dominique, Adreian Dantley, Rick Carlise and Isaiah Thomas. And many others who have been on the wrong side of the deal. Cleveland tried to lock Boozer up for a modest price. They were giving him a raise, but the market value for him was higher.

3yr 15-18 millions tops. Don't over pay for Damp, he could become Jon Koncak all over.

It just goes to show you that you don't have to mortgage the farm on one flashy player. K-Marts, Kobes, McGradys. You need a bench with good role players.

The Hawks are giving up too much. I love Howard, but he's not gonna blossom right away. Randolph Morris will be in next years draft. Howard's high school friend and nemesis: 7ft tall and heavier, more post moves, going to Kentucky for at least a year. I say keep our picks and let them develop. Like someone else said, haven't the Hawks learn't anything from our draft history of trading away picks.

6th pick - Livingston, Josh Smith. 17th pick - Jefferson, Harrison, Aurojo.

I'd like to see Darius Rice with one of the 2nd round picks.

My stepson is only 5'8" and had his vertical measured at 46" in college. Seen another kid in highschool that stood 5'11" dunked with 2 hands flatfooted.

I hope the Hawks don't draft Nelson. Something about his game that makes me think he won't be a good pro. His speed, size, leaping ability and no true point guard skills. He's not worth a 1st round pick in my opinion.

I've heard more than one college scout say this. "Six foot guards come a dime a dozen." He's quick, fast, can handle, a lot of guards are streak shooters. You can go to any playground around and get about 20 anytime. I agree his streetcred of being Marbury's cousin is what keeping him afloat.

Howard's not soft. Emeka is having back problems already in his career and has not played an NBA game yet.

Howard is a better shot blocker and rebounder than Kwame.

you shouldn't be so critical about this team.

I had never seen Morris play before friday night, had seen Howard play in person. I was impressed with Morris's post play. Like most are saying. He's a dying breed, a true 7-foot post player with low post offensive moves. I hope both players go to college atleast a year or two.
