Lofton should be available, but he's got no other skills than shooting. At least Salim has some other talents.

For shooting, the best that should be on the board for us would be Richard Roby, Shan Foster and Marcellus Kemp. Foster and Kemp are both catch and shoot guys, while Roby is jsut a great shooter. But they all have their weaknesses, which is why the'd be available in the second round.

Rich Roby would be GREAT. he's a great shooter, a decent ball handler, and an athletic freak like his cousin (k-mart).

Get over yourself please. Why do you have to be so freaking negative all the time. The Giants damn sure deserved this as much as any team ever winning on the road as underdogs every game.

I was just about to say that. They beat a team that nobody else beat all year. they earned this, man.

They would have to suck pretty bad to lose this game IMO.

Well, we're in luck then, because they do suck. It's true, they have a lot of scorers, but they aren't a very good offense. they don't blend at all. and their defense is... just no... it hurts to talk about. I think that our bigs will give yi, bogut, and villi fits. will any of them even get a rebound with Al on the floor?

  4. so he's saying JJ only gives ATL 25 a game? ok... well, he averaged 5 assists, 5 boards, and a steal a game last year. He was a legit all-star, and he's one of the most complete players in the game today.

And calling Al Horford and Acie Law unproven is silly. first of all, yeah, they're rookies, but they've both more than proven themselves. Al won 2 straight championships. enough said. and if you watched a texas A&M game last year, you know Acie is as NBA ready as any player in the draft.

And Josh Smith can only dunk? ok... he averaged 16 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and oh yeah... he was 2nd in the league in blocks at 3 a game.

If you're gonna trash a team, at least get your facts straight. geez.... I hate people like that so so much....

    arent there still socialist countries?

Also, I agree with drzachery. leave this topic alone, lol.... Marvin isn't doing as many high profile things a Smoove is, which means he's apparentally not getting into heaven.... cool.gif

  6. Dude, whats with all the Marvin hate? I mean, give the edge to yi? this guy SUCKED in summer league, when the whole point of his team was to feature him. he's got nothing. and besides, Marvin is better than you give him credit for. he put up 13 and 5. those are pretty good numbers for a sophmore...

I like Brennan too. He and Brohm would both be good picks in my opinion. Plus, I dont think it automatically means we're in rebuilding mode if we go with a young QB next season. The Broncos did well last year with Cutler and the Titans almost made the playoffs with Young.

Good man. I actually think I'd take Brennan over Brohm, simply because We could get Brennan for a 2nd-3rd rounder, while Brohm looks like he'll be top 10.

Rise or Die Trying by Four Year Strong. Its not out yet (Sept. 18) but it leaked, and I've got to say, its the best album I've ever heard... I fully expect them to replace Fall Out Boy as the top Pop Punk band in the land.

If they are anything like fall out boy, I've got about 400 cds you should listen to first. grin.gif

JK, man. I'm an older punk now. All civilized and sh!t! Seriously though, I think it's funny what constitutes punk to different generations. And even the differences of opinion between the same generation can be bewildering at times. To me It's stuff like The Clash, The Ramones, MC5(look them up... a must), then there's LA punk(rhcp, gnr, etc), skate punk(Fugazi, Sonic Youth, Beastie Boys, Weezer), you've got the whole straight edge punk thing. Ska punk, There are so many ways to look at it. I think it's all about having fun and making visceral, fun music. Everybody gets old, though mad.gif

duuuude! I love MC5! ...and Ska punk.

I should probably clarify about the fall out boy thing though, lol. Four Year Strong doesn't sound anything like them... I just meant that they'd take their place in the spot light. you'd probably actually like Four Year Strong. They mix all the fun of Ska Punk with the pure badassness of Hardcore/Metal bands like Lamb of God, etc... I fully expect them to change popular rock. I have a feeling you're gonna like what you hear on the radio 2-3 years from now. thumb3d.gif

  9. Rise or Die Trying by Four Year Strong. Its not out yet (Sept. 18) but it leaked, and I've got to say, its the best album I've ever heard... I fully expect them to replace Fall Out Boy as the top Pop Punk band in the land. But they aren't pussies like FOB... they throw a huge dose of Hardcore/Metal into their Pop... its gonna start a new genre, seriously...

  10. I'm tend to root for UNC whenever I see them, unless they're playing one of my other 2 teams, Tennessee or Washington St.

But I'm not really a marvin fan. I mean, I like him, and I root for him, but I wouldn't be heartbroken if he got traded, you know?

  11. you can find discrepencies in anything, if you look hard enough.

Listen, I'm not a fan of vague assumptions, theories, or possibilities, and believe me, thats all loose change is. When you try to label the government for being a butcher and slaughtering 3000 of its own people, you better provide concrete evidence to back that up, and while they twist the facts to look like they do... they really are just grasping at straws... I mean, honestly... do you really believe that our government killed 3000 of its own people?

  12. Dont put much stock into that... Loose change is something of a joke among historians. my history professor actually devoted a class, breaking down all of the socalled "facts" in the movie. it turns out that on every piece of information, if they aren't completely making it up, then they are leaving out really important pieces of information, to twist the facts to their theory.

Check out these sites... you'll realize how obscenely wrong loose change is...

I totally disagree. Cheaters deserve no applause.

Let's say you have to do a test for a job and you're the smartest one of all the candidates, but there is one guy who has a better test result because he cheated, you saw him cheating, but it's his word against yours and since you yourself can't prove it he gets the job, do you go over and shake his hand to congratulate him?

Or let's say you played poker and it got a little bit out of hand, so that you bet everything you own and your opponent bet everything he owned, but he marked the cards before the game and you lose, another person tells you about the markings, do you go over to the winner and tell him "well, good game, I better start being more careful with my bets"?

You only have to congratulate a cheater if you're a cheater yourself and he's simply better at cheating, you know like the Tour de France
    wink.gif
    .

So assuming Hank didn't cheat somehow I don't think his reactions are classless at all. Concerning Selig, he didn't do anything against it, so it be considered classless in his case.

you hit the nail right on the head.

The opposing argument of course is that Barry never juiced, which is just not true... case and point:

    BarryBonds.jpg

that kind of transformation simply doesn't happen without some kind of assistance. period.

also, he's hit more homers in the back 1/4th of his career than he did in his prime... wtf? that's not normal.
