is the rumor, but I haven't heard any players mentioned. I've heard that Dallas likes Sabonis and/or Dale Davis and Portland wants a PG (JT or Van Exel).
-
I hope Knight can position himself to land Josh Smith in the future. He is a 6'9 SF, like TMac but doesn't have his dribbles yet. Superstar potential is written all over him and he's from Georgia high school
If we re-sign DJ, does that mean bye-bye to Newble AND Glover? or could we still keep newble..
-
just from the fans
-
the marlins have fans?
-
i think there's .9% chance Howard or Smith goes pro, but I like Josh Smith better. could be a TMac if he continues to improve (remember, Kendrick Perkins was a top 3 pick before his senior year, but then he didn't improve and he got out of shape and he dropped)
-
what about Richard Jeter?
-
does diaw have good handles or not, I've read both that he can play guard in the NBA and that he is just a point forward with limited dribbling. I don't understand this pick if he can't play guard in the nba
-
what if Pavlovic falls? 6'9 sg/sf with sick range and can go 1-on-1
-
a Pavlovic/Lang draft would be ideal
-
I like the fact that he has PG skills, has nba range and a quick first step.
-
if they're right about gaines having excellent range and a quick first step then i'm all for trading a heavily protected 1st to get him
-
would he come over now or wait a few years like Ginobili did?
-
If GS takes Gaines, I won't think the trade is done. they need a pg and backup sg, that is gaines. however, ebi wouldn't be that bad of a pick for us. a guy that actually has an ounce of potential!? thats a first for the hawks.
he doesn't help with the pg/sg situation tho
-
how many years will it take for Diaw to play in the nba? usually they stay overseas for a year or 2 when you draft them at the end of the 1st
-
I have no doubts Gaines will make a good pro. But is it worth trading away a future 1st to draft another combo guard?
-
don't get it. why do we need another combo guard, and trade away another future pick? that has come back to haunt us too many times
-
I wouldn't touch him. If the Hawks want a big man in round 2, how about Marquis Estill? he would be a huge reach in early round 2 but I think he will stick in the league. could go undrafted
-
I think Badiane will go 1st round, if we take him or not. He supposedly has had great workouts. He does sound intriguing.
"A very good dunker and a great shot blocker. He is very tall with extremely long arms. And has a surprisingly good shot out to 15 feet."
-
he's ok, I read that he doesn't have great handles and is very passive on offense. sounds like DJ with more passing, imho. in the mock draft, they also said the hawks were impressed with Ndui Ebi and his work ethic
-
Javy - starter
Giles - starter
Castilla - reserve
Sheffield - starter
AJones - reserve
Smoltz
Ortiz - is a reach but he has had a good season, and has won lotta games
-
it better be protected very well.
the only thing I see in it for GS, is it might keep Arenas in town and they get a potential future star.
-
Badiane wouldn't be bad if Diaw is out. I wonder who impressed more, Badiane or West? i think west has more offensive potential, but athletic 6'11 freaks don't grow on trees. could be like an 18 year old mutombo
-
I don't think we worked out Ebi, did we? not to my knowledge
1) Hayes - not a ballhandler, but would add so much to the team in terms of athleticism and shooting. hawks have had their eye on him
2) Diaw - a good ballhandler and athlete, which is what we are looking for. supposedly, he comes in the day of the draft
3) West - versatile pf who can play down low in the east, and make reef trade-able if he pans out well. best talent available pick if Diaw isn't there
-
getting a GM who is an excellent scout is more important than anyone we can draft at #21
Hey scrooge

Chambers is the star in the making, not Calico.
