Yeah. Our starting center had a total of 16 boards over 4 games vs the cavs. The sounds like you should be getting a huge round of applause AL. He is definitely going to get boo'd now when he comes back to Atlanta.

Give it time. It has only been about 2-3 hours. I would be shocked if he did not make a statement about Atlanta at some point.

I agree 100%. I mean we did not want to give Carroll a 4 yr/60mil deal and we give baze that kind of money. Granted the cap was increased but still, thats insane.  I am a big fan of bazemore, but I do not believe he is worth that kind of money.

I am basing that off of what he has done for Atl and the Hawks over his career. Not off of the contract he just took.

Nothing has changed. We replaced Howard with Horford. All we get from that is more rim protection and better rebounding. We will be alright. Plus Baze could be seriously trade bait down the line once our rookies get developed. If nothing else I think we need to seriously consider throwing some money at Harrison Barnes that GSW do not want to match.

Per NBA league source, Hawks have upped offer to Al Horford & added a 5th yr. Not a 5-yr max though.

I agree that Baze could be an excellent recruiter. But Curry isnt about to leave the GSW. Not a change he comes to Atlanta anyways.

Harrison Barnes? Granted it is a extremely long shot seeing as how GSW will  probably match anything we were to offer.

Lets be real here. Al is a really good player, not a great player. He has only 2 post moves down low and one of them comes with a hook everytime that could be called for an offensive foul. And he can hardly go to his left hand in a post-up if at all.   When he isnt in the paint (which was very rarely last season) he stands in one spot set-up to try and hit a jumper. I am a big fan of Al but if he wants to be drama filled after he has been all but begging to play the 4, let him walk. I see the Howard Millsap combo being much more efficient than the Howard Horf combo anyways.

We can dream I guess haha.

We need more rebounding and I think Noel would definitely be a huge help in that department. I am tired of watching Tristan Thompson hold Al to a combined 15 rebounds over four games. Defense and Rebounding? Lock this trade up! If we give Al a max contract by any measure, we have only set ourselves up for disappointment once again for the next 5 years.

Agreed. He wanted to go with LD to arguably the worst team in the NBA. Could he help that team? No Doubt but they would still be terrible. He is looking to start over IMO and his draft stock is probably as high as its goin to be. He has gotten better each season stats wise besides shooting %. I like Teague and feel he can be good for our team, but when the ball starts rollin down hill, it does not stop.

I am curious to see how much better Minny can get with Rubio/Horford/Pek. I been asking for this ish for years in Atlanta.

I really do not see them being a top-tier team. I understand it takes time, but i think Rubio is a bit overrated anyways. Yeah he pulls off some sweet passes but I would take Teague over him anyday. Plus he cant shoot worth a damn.
