Should have been gone already imo. I still think he would be a good Assistant coach though.
-
1st priority is to get this team sold or nothing is going to change. If ASG keeps this team this is what going to happen in the off season. Let contracts expire to get us under the luxury tax. Fill bench with vet mins. Rinse and repeat next off season.
-
Lol we won game 6? One game at a time bud.
-
Things are gonna be a lot more interesting if Al keeps playing well
-
Now we see why
-
We are toast
Did it ever occur to you that maybe the team gave up on you with that game 4 performance? The strange battered wife syndrome type thing drives me nuts. No matter how big of a dump this team takes on people you still have this people defending or making excuses for these guys.
-
The Hawks are a middle of the pack team...always has and always will be until the team is sold and a new leadership and direction is brought in. The owners wanted to sell th team for the last couple of years but couldn't and now all of sudden after the sale fell through they were ALL IN for keeping to the team.If the roles were reversed with Doc and Larry Drew as coaches...WOW at how good I believe this team would be.

I think he is okay where he is at now. He's probably never gonna be as good as he was a couple of years ago though. I can understand people's frustration about him though. Im just wondering why some people are trying to diminish another star player, who is arguably a Top 3 player in the league right now, for no reason when he consistently plays and shoots good.Harden is an even worse comparison. Harden has never been the man, hasn't had to deal with constant double and triple teams, hell he doesn't even start.Joe will just never be good enough for some people no matter what.
-
Why compare Joe and KD though? Joe and somebody like Harden is a better comparison at this point of Joe's career. KD's stats and impact are on another level than Joe now. It's called a comparison. People say Joe isn't a real superstar because of games like Sunday, then you get the obligatory salary comment. I'm offering up KD for this same sub-superstar altar. Do the almighty Joe Hating Fans except this as grounds to lambaste KD?
-
Exactly. Why are we suppose to bring up another player from another team when one of our guys has a bad game?^^^I give this comment my full en-dorse-mentHere we go with another attempt to make people who aren't donning the rose-colored glasses for Joe out to be inconsistent and wrong. Yeah, KD having a sub par game without anyone here calling him out proves hypocrisy. Brilliant!!!
-
Not bashing Joe by any means at all, but even though KD had a bad shooting game, he still was able to get to the free throw line(14-16) and grab 10 rebounds. And he didn't go 0-9 from the 3pt line.
-
I understand where you are coming from. My problem believing is they always disappear when it counts. I can't count on our team to be consistent in the playoffs, but we will see if things are different this year. I disagree with you about the bench. Chicago's bench is way above ours. I will say though, that if Marvin plays like he did against NY on a regular basis, and Al comes back and contributes just a little, our chances are a lot better.
-
If Rondo plays like he has been for most of the season, i don't think we will win either. KG and PP are also playing really good.I honestly don't think we will beat Boston in the 1st round.
-
That's what happen when you are one of the leaders and the team loses. And yes he finishes with a lot of good stat lines, but he also makes many dumb plays in close games.I love how you guys, Bob, and Nique are constantly reminding the rest of us of every negative thing Josh does. Dude finishes with a great stat line yet we focus on the negative.
-
Only shot I'm mad about is that long fadeaway 2 he decided to take with, i think, 2 minutes left.
-
I used the word subpar too loosely. l should have said they havent been against any consistent, dominant teams, you know, the ones that always beat us in the playoffs.I love how people throw in this caveat even if 2 of his good performances were against good teams; Celtics and Jazz.
-
Joe finally back to playing like the Old Joe, even if it is against sub-par teams. Let the good times roll.
-
-
lol @ superstar. But i am happy with the way he has been playing the last 4 games.
Do that in the playoffs or against the Bulls or Heat or adleast 76ers or Pacers even.
-
Man Josh is beasting once again in the post, and the other guys are stepping up and hitting their shots. Zaza has been really active on the boards too.
-
When we play together and get contributions from everyone, we are hard to beat. But the thing is, when it comes to consistency, history is not on our side. We look like ECF material one game, then get blown out the next game by some scrub team. We arent anywhere close to being a championship team, but we could be on our way. Josh playing and staying in the post might be the most important thing.
-
I do sometimes. I know Josh's shot pretty well so i always usually shoot pretty good with him from outside the post.
-
Man when Josh plays in the post like he did tonight, everything is good in the world.
-
Only place i've seen people defend Zaza is on here lol. All the games i went to over the past years, every time he got the ball the whole place would just let out one big groan.
Ferry need to start figuring a way to pry CP3 and it may be easier than it look to get CP3 here
