This was my immediate thought as well when the news broke. I only run with the Hawks as well. I actually won a tournament with them.

Judging by how we got swept last year; the league and opposing fans would rather have Cleveland vs Boston.  This series could possibly go 7 games and IF Boston advances that series would be more than 4 games.

I understand the "Jordan wouldn't do it" logic. However, this particular Hawks team isn't built like most teams. Who knows, if Teague was out there the outcome would have been totally different.

I have to say I really hated all the Joe booing. He has been a good Hawk for many years (probably one of the best ever, sad to say). Sure he was overpaid but what was he supposed to do, say no to money? I think this makes our fan base look bad.

I don't think it was personal but more so to get under his skin. This is the playoffs, we're not trying to be his friend.
