Baze and Thabo will do just fine manning the three. I'd start Thabo and have Baze off bench. Korver/Thabo subbed by THJ/Baze. Works for me.

What does Splitter bring as far as skill set? Is he a rim protector? I know he has some range but don't know much else about him

How was he not taken? At least as a second rounder... By somebody.... Could have sent him overseas or DLeague to start... Wow!

I was disappointed. Wanted Oubre or Dekker. Portis still available. Would be a good choice

ESBN at 4:30
I'm guessing Hawks pick around 5:45 (they drag it out)
I'm seeing 7:00 eastern time

That's as unsexy as me in an airplane bathroom...:-/
Well this is what I think will happen, not my preferred choice. Haha

I think we stand pat at 15 and take Dekker or Portis
Draft and stash BPA in 2nd round.

This is technically their second year in charge as Ferry was out most of the year this past season. But to address the question, I think they play it conservative and build strong assets while holding on to our players (Paul and Demarre)

Would you add him? He's available for trade per ESPN.
What would you give for him?
I'm thinking no more than a 2nd, Mack
He hasn't really proven anything yet. But who knows what he may be when he finds the right fit. Shouldn't have been a #1 overall but still talented.

I would love to have LMA but I just don't see it happening but if it does man I'm going to jump for joy!
Him and Horford would have a new tandem name like the splash bros!
"mid range assassins"
Or something more appropriate. Lol
"Crash Bros" Rebounds, Rebounds, Rebounds...

It's all fringe players at 15 and beyond. Nobody to get excited about and nobody really separates themselves from the logjam of marginal players who the Hawks will draft. Everyone says this is such an important pick, but the reality is that player probably will never be any good.
You never know. There have been lots of guys who have turned out to be great players take at #15.
Khawi Leonard, Nash, Larry Sanders, Al Jefferson... Not saying we will select someone of that caliber, but you never know.

Faried wants out of Denver it appears. He and Lawson threatened to request a trade. I think he would be a great fit here as 4/5. I think Korver just got cold at the wrong time. He can still be effective at his role. I think Bazemore can offer more than he has been given opportunity to show. He has filled in nicely for Demarre when needed. Another shooting wing off the bench and rebounding,Shotblocking Big and we will be set.

Knicks may be open to trade and need a PG. Would Schröder, #15 get it done? Or would we need to throw in a future first? I'm good with either. I would love to add Stanley Johnson to this Hawks team. Winslow would be nice too. Would we have pieces to move up that far? Or would Sacramento/Detroit be an easier pick to acquire?

One guy we can sign in order of preference:
1) Andray Blatche
2) Hamed Haddadi
3) Von Wafer
I like Blatche, but Bud said before that he likes the Bigs we have and doesn't want to add any bigs.

are the Hawks trying to win a title or a 3-PT contest?
Both maybe? I think with the increased salary and having to use a future first rounder, Hawks pass on that deal. I would like the addition but it does add 4mil or so in salary

I would love to add Sanders but I doubt it will happen

GET IT DONE BERRY (BUD/FERRY)
I like it as long as it's not this years pick (which I'm sure it wouldn't be with the Brooklyn swap) Maybe the pick they got from Payne trade?

JJ Reddick is what I have heard. Heard an actual proposed trade was Reddick for Shelvin Mack and 1strd. Clips ready but Hawks pondering. He would be a nice fit with his shooting. Korver and Reddick on the floor together would be a pick your poison. Or Reddick as a Korver sub to keep same skill set on floor.
