Really dosappointed that Al didnt take time to thank the organization and fans before throwing up the green.

I think Millsap is better than Horf, but I think Horf at less money plus the assets in a Millsap trade would be better in the long run for the Hawks.

Either Al really screwed Atlanta or this whole FA was greatly mishandled by Budcox.

I just tweeted the exact same thing to Justin termine, either bud did a very poor job of talking through moves with horf, or he just decided to stick it to us

They saying on NBA TV that Al was miffed from the start that ATL didn't offer him the full max amount. Said he considered himself a max player and took that as an insult. The contract Boston is paying him averages $28.25m per season. The final one we apparently offered averaged #27.2m. I don't know how true it is, but it seems the feeling disrespected angle might be true. If so, booo on BudCox.

I'm sorry, but horford is not worth a max deal, ESPECIALLY with the new cap.  That contract would cripple us in the years to come.  Like was said before, he always wanted a C to help, we go get one, and he leaves over less than 5% difference per year.  I bet state income taxes are higher in Massachusetts too

  3. Who cares what the talking heads think will happen, what they say does not impact the score.  OF course everyone is picking the Cavs, the have LEBRON JAMES.  The guy has been to the finals what 4 out of the last 5 years?  Maybe even more than that(going off of memory)?

Players make plays, commentators make comments.  I know one thing, we need to come out hot in the 3rd quarter, seems most of the playoffs we are starting the 2nd halves slowly.

  4. Out of the respect for the veterans, I will stop myself short from saying everything I want to.  But 1) "True Believer" is a great handle for you.  2) Bookmark it, write it down, take a picture, I don't give a flip.  And I stand by my KCP comments, too. 'Sap will never be an All-star again, and for you to negate the factors that influenced his selection this past season is simplistic though not shocking.  'Sap won't resign there because everyone with a neuron hates Detroit.  That's why Jennings and Smoove ended up there.  Only those two knuckleheads would be dumb enough to willingly go there.  And Millsap is not "merely an expiring deal".  He is a very good player with an expiring contract which makes him valuable on two fronts.  He's valuable to move at the deadline to a contender for both reasons and he's valuable to move to anyone who wants to clear cap space next offseason any time.

If Millsap is a Hawk during the 2015-16 season, I will personally show up at your house and take you out to dinner wherever you want to go.  What are you willing to offer me?

First off, you'll have to post some photos of your crystal ball. Because you're talking from your ass right now.

Millsap WAS an all-star.  ONCE. Wrong. He IS an all-star. How dumb is that? It's the same thing that "Spurs WAS nba champion".

He won't ever be again. You don't know that. Think I'm gonna bookmark this thread. How would you like your crow?

DET can match any offers. Right. ASININE would be to trade our ALL-STAR plus a 1st round pick in order to OVERPAY for Monroe. Are you a Pistons fan?

Sap will not re-sign there (DET). Again, how the F*** would you know this? But I guess you're probably right. Sap won't re-sign there because hopefully he will never be a Piston.

... for one of, if not their most, valuable players... So Millsap for you is merely an expiring deal? I bet you're going to have a hard time trying to get the others to join your side... Maybe all of us (except you of course) were born on the shallow end of the gene pool.

Ahh... I see now. Never mind, I'm not gonna argue with you. You ARE indeed a Pistons fan...

    These were clasics as well

  5. Minnesota really has a great fanbase and some great writers and pundits that follow the team. I know I'm the only fan of the TWolves on here but I think an article like this is indicative of the quality.

I've been following zach harper @talkhoops for years, guy is usually on point.

  6. Actually out here visiting my brother who now lives in a town just 20 minutes from Olympia. When I lived here it was at Fort Lewis or Joint Base Lewis McChord now (who's effing idea was that?). I actually used to run into Jamal back in New York when he was a Knick.

I was at Lewis as well(got out in 08 and stayed in area until 2011). that JBLM thing is just the gov't saving money, A lot like Pope being swallowed by Bragg now.

Crawford and I were both washing our hands at halftime and I said, "Anyone ever tell you you look like Jamal Crawford?" He said yeah, I said you are arent you and he laughed, asked him about the new coach yada yada, he was just surprised someone recognized him. I wish the Sonics would return, I may move back that way in next 5 years

  7. Nah, they've just done a piss poor job of drafting. Period. End of discussion. The fact that none of those misfires by BK has done next to nothing since leaving here says more than enough. Again, we wouldn't be having a debate on tanking if even a C-list GM was in charge a decade ago.I don't even want to talk about it anymore...

We have to start drafting Production instead of upside, upside has been VERY unkind the past 10 years
