Except heart. Except passing, Except Heart. Except scoring at the rim. Except Heart. Except post scoring. Except ...heart.
Do you honestly expect anyone to take you seriously with a response like that?

Nique,
I don't see how you say that neither Shaq or the ASG would prosper.
I think both would prosper.
Shaq is a great promoter.
He promoted himself to the point that he was in about 4 movies... and he can't act.
If he was made owner, the team would get automatic interest.
Shaq says that he loves this city and has had a house here for 15 yrs.
He's a great fit with Atlanta.
As far as your last comment...
Shaq is a great fit for Atlanta, yes, but the ASG is a bad fit for him.
I simply think it's a bad investment for Shaq to consider.
-
y2kenta,
How is the 3-point shootout going to work? Single location on the floor of my choice, or?
-
Getting into business with the ASG would be a bad idea for Shaq and it has no chance of happening. Not only would Shaq not benefit, but the ASG won't, so having some press about it is all that would happen, but no one is going to pay just to come to the games if Shaq owns a stake in the team.

Here we go again bashing another hall of fame player by the naysayers of the board. These same folks didnt want to take a chance on Shaw either. Nash would absolutely change this team into a contender.
Did you even take the time to read what I wrote?
Steve Nash is only signed for one more season after the current one ends. If a lockout occurs, which it's likely, we would possibly only end up having him for the rest of the current season. So, what that means, is we need to take caution with any trade talks, and pass on any trade that has us giving up the house for him.
-
Any trade for Nash needs to be thought about a great deal, because he's most likely only going to be a one year rental, since a lockout is most likely going to occur.

I think you're overvaluing Rubio, but that's just my opinion. I haven't bought into his hype, but it's a gamble.
I wouldn't trade Josh for Jefferson straight up because not many can run the floor on both ends like Josh does (when he wants to)
I also feel that Marvin could be a productive player in the right system.
Hype or not, we still won't even be able to acquire Ricky Rubio even if the package was Josh Smith and Marvin Williams for him. The same can be said for Al Jefferson straight up for Josh Smith.
You might feed into the hype with Rubio, but being realistic is the approach you should take, and your offer is far from it.
Also, realizing that Al Jefferson is the starting 4, and prefers it over the 5 is another way to approach it. If you realize that it will separate you from the majority that replied in this thread that have no idea that Al Jefferson is and prefers the 4.

Mike Bibby would still be valuable coming off our bench. His 3-point shooting and high IQ for the game is exactly what we need behind Jeff Teague.
-
I would consider the following:
Trade Smoove/Marvin
for
Al & one of Rubio/Flynn
Resign Childress (I think not being a starter here ticked him off) to start at SF
Flynn/Teague/Bibby
JJ/Craw
Chillz/Evans
Horford/Draft pick
Jefferson/ZaZa
I think something like this would be the only trade considered given their surplus of potential at PG and our lack. It also gives the fans of Minnesota some high flyers to get excited about.
Overvaluing our players a bit much?
We won't get Ricky Rubio or Al Jefferson for Josh Smith.
Al Jefferson is Minnesota's starting power forward and if they trade him Kevin Love is his replacement.

Like Swatguy said, I too believe the Clippers are a good fit for him, and I expect them to contact him. What will hurt Woodson is if he actually believes he is worth around $5 million per season, so he'll need to suck it up, and expect to be paid around $3 million.
-
Time will tell what happens with the second round pick. There may some good value with the 2nd round pick as there was during this years draft (Sam Young and DeJuan Blair to name a couple). David was never going to come here unless we overpaid.

ZaZa was sent a message:
Check out our @zaza27 Appreciation Thread! http://bit.ly/13b4Fk
And he simply answered:
@TheHawkSquawk Thanks for Appreciation Thread.it Meant a lot
Not a big deal at all.

Another blow to Houston...Artest left, Yao is out and McGrady is crippled...they might go from championship contender to the lottery this year.
Houston can only blame themselves. They offered Ron a one year deal, he passes, and they offer Ariza a contract that will be worth 33.5 million. Houston is clueless.
-
Nice try but Amare looks like this.
-
I don't think we have the money for Hedo but I'd be alright with bringing Sheed back to ATL
Turk is seeking 5 years over 50 million. A team will possibly offer him that but we don't need to be one of them.
-
i really am worried about Amare's eye.I would hate to trade for him and then him not be as good,or he injures his eye again and his career is over
When he returns he's going to have his eyes protected. Not sure if he's going to wear the glasses he did during the past or goggles.

Golden State can still offer more. If your Phoenix you don't turn your back on them just because they don't include Randolph or Curry.
-
Hawks won't be part of the Vegas summer league.
-
Is the site so desperate for replies that it needs this topic to stay active? Wow!
-
hopefully all of you wont keep getting your hopes up. theres never anything on tv about amare and the hawks. nothing on the internet anywhere. there is no recent talks. its all just speculation. not going to happen
I doubt any agreement between us and Phoenix is made, but Sund won't show his cards, so if we're offering your not going to hear about it unless someone from Phoenix speaks.
-
Take your pick, NJ or Charlotte? One of those teams will select him.
-
I am for drafting Casspi at 19 so that we can let Marvin walk or trade him. I think we need to upgrade the SF position and a big and a pg are probably longshots for us at 19.
Hawk88
Casspi has already made it clear that he plans on staying overseas for another year.
-
The Bucks won't do that trade. You can remove Luke from it and replace him with Dan Gadzuric if you want them to even consider. It's none sense to think that Salim Stoudamire would ever come back to Atlanta or that we would even consider trading for.
The money does not even come close to matching with the Boston trade. Rajon Rondo won't be traded no matter what some rumors are saying and to think that we trade for Ray who makes 19.7 million is just crazy.
Signing Flip to any amount of years that pays him 4 million a season is bad.
Marvin Williams for Josh Howard? The money won't match again.
The Zaza signing is reasonable and I like the idea of adding Antonio McDyess.
I hope that's not Steven Hunter your referring to.

Draft & Sign Teague.
Draft & Sign Robinson (2nd rounder)
Resign Bibby 7 million per. (3 years)
Resign Zaza. 4.5 Million per (4 years)
Trade Mo for Dre Jordan (LAC).
Resign Marvin to QO.
Renounce Chillz and Flip.
Sign Antonio McDyess.
The Clippers won't move a young big like Jordan for Mo Evans. Jordan has so much upside and he's going to have a very promising future as long as the Clippers giving him enough minutes. The Clippers will have plenty of time to develop Jordan. He played 15mpg this past season and I he'll most likely average around the same next season.
Wishful thinking, but it would be nice to acquire him for Mo.
Josh Smith nails 6 threes at summer league

If Josh Smith has improved his range, so be it, and I won't argue against it. He needs to only attempt 3 point shots if he can make them consistently and at a high percentage. If not, he needs to stop hurting the team, and focus more on his jumper.
