They didn't let him go in hopes of trading him so trading him for Bazemore would save them Cap space to go after a bigger target and give them a backup without paying Waiters. So essentially more money.
-
What do you think about getting Bosh for Bazemore plus in the off-season? I know it would be big risk because he may never play but could retire if not. If he could somehow come back he'd be a Cheaper option than resigning an aging Millsap and give us the opportunity to go after SG/Sf.
-
If you trade for Melo would you trade for a veteran point guard?
-
Automatically fixes golden states only weakness in rebounding, helps their defense helps defense down low and less worry about getting every body the ball and if we move Dwight and still want to compete we already know Cleveland and tristan haven't had their best games when Bogut played

It's either Klay or Draymond to have any depth and will probably move either to keep kd ando Steph and if we can keep bembry in that deal great but if we can get something for him I'm OK with it I don't see him being more than a rotational defender

GSW is not trading Klay
Bogut is out injured.
Bogut is an expiring so definitely not including Bembry for an injured expiring.
Have to have that talk about Klay if there is any chance of keeping kd and Stephen and how long is Bogut out? I don't mind sending Bembry don't see him being better than an average roll player

Bazemore Humphries and a pick for ilyasova and Okafor
Schröder/ Livingston
Klay Thompson/ Dunleavy
Thabo/ Prince
Millsap/ Ilyasova
Bogut/ Okafor/ Zaza
Gives depth and younger would be good defense and have a scorer to go with Klay and players that can play multiple positions
-
Schröder/Livingston
Klay Thompson/ Dunleavy
Thabo/ Baze/ Prince
Millsap/ Humphries
Bogut/ Zaza
Could still try to move Bazemore for a better small forward
-
Bogut for Splitter and Bembry
-
Hawks get
Klay Thompson
Sean Livingston
Zaza Pachulia
GS gets
Dwight
ThJr
Delaney or Muscala

I have seen where people talk about Jimmy coming available. Would you trade Millsap as suggested to get him? What other pieces to set the team up at power forward?

I don't disagree totally. Sad truth though is that Sap is our leader and is the resident 'adult in the room' which is likely something we'll need to counter Howard's potential antics.
That's what scares me Sap isn't going to be a leader of a championship team if we have Love and Dwight under contract it'll be easier to get other piece and Millsap will be over paid by someone.
-
Sap does fit better with Cleveland but I'm afraid of over paying him in the offseason and we need better offense from somewhere and Love's contract will probably look better than his

I think Sap is a better fit with Dwight and Love's defense is pretty awful. I stick with what we have.
That's where Dwight helps this Trade is Defense and Love can be a lot better than what he's played like in Cleveland and can open the floor better.

Would anyone consider trading Paul Millsap to try and get Kevin Love is a bigger Name to help get talent and more stability eith the uncertainty of Millsap after this year?

i know you guys really want a superstar. But, do you really want to see Dwight and Westbrook in Atlanta, on the court, at the same time?
Please give it some thought before you answer.
The two best players we have had since Dominique at the same time? Yes please
-
Just a thought not sure if I would even like it but if we sent Millsap to the nuggets for the package they offered around faried and used part of that package and had Howard faried and westbrook?

I also wouldn't be surprised to see Celtics put together something for him
I wouldn't be surprised either but if Im thunder I personally would rather a deal around Schröder than Isaiah Thomas but maybe thats just the my preference.

No way I give that up for Westbrook...u do love him lol
You take that deal as fast as you can.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Lakers put together a package of Russell/Ingram plus other stuff
Lakers won't offer because they believe they are the front runner next year why give up all your assets.. It's one year would be smart to make that deal

Making crazy movements is not the best way to improve
Making lateral movements for decades hasn't worked yet maybe crazy is exactly what we need

What are said assets? Schröder /Prince / Bembry would cause OKC to hang up
Its a one year contract those and picks are about as much they can get with uncertainty about Westbrook staying anywhere

I read Hawks might offer SAP/Dennis/2017 first rd pick and that would get the deal done.
WB/D12/Baze would be fun to watch together.
I'm not big on Millsap In the trade is over paying and need him to help keep Westbrook

Well what do you suggest stay a 4 or 5 seed for forever?

But at this point he's said he doesn't want to retire and had been working out again.
