True
But like I said Babs needs to go because besides
his ill-advised moves, even when he does something
right, it still seems to turn out wrong. I think it's
just time to start over, but it won't help to start
over with the same people making important decisions
and we shouldn't wait till he's traded off our players
and gotten nothing in return, we should give the new
people, (real basketball people) some chips to play
with when they get here.
Like I said just my opinions.

Archie brings up several good points, but that's nothing
new, Archie always does a great job, both on here and
on the Braves' site, and I agree with most of what he
said, but I do have to disagree with him on one point:
Archie said himself that Golden State drafted more
talent in one night than the Hawks have in a decade.
I agree with him, Babs couldn't draft his way out of
a [censored], IMHO. Even when he makes a seemingly
good move it turns out crappy.
So until we get some people in charge of the Hawks who
have a clue, it would be an even bigger disaster to make
any changes. Pete, etc. should not be allowed to make
any trades, etc. We have some good players, etc. right
now they just don't good fit together well. Once the Hawks have cleaned house and brought in some real basketball people, then they can start making some good changes.
That's just my opinion.

Hi Cap
How're things up in your part of the state?
I've been up to my ears in work. I swoop in
from time to time and read all about it, but
don't have much time to write.
Hope all is well. Take care.

He calls it a Ham-Slamwich.
My brother in law and his family live in Milwaukee.
We went up there this past Christmas and I got
to see the Hawks play the Bucks. Hamm put on
a show and had a field day against us.
I believe he is the most purely athletic player we've
had since Nique, and his overall game improves
every year. The kid just wants to play. I just
hope we can get him a lot of quality minutes.

Thanks Guy
I was just trying to figure out a trade to get
rid of Hendu(I doubt he'll produce anything for us)
and CC and actually get something for JV.
I still think Hughes could amount to something
in the right situation, but this probably isn't it. I
think we have too many "good" players and not
enough "great" players. I guess everyone has
that problem, but we have so many guys in the
rotation that they don't have enough time to get
going when they do get in. They can't build up
any rythum.
Anyway I really don't want to trade JT unless
we could get somebody special in return. I think
we'd be better off with him. I'm worried about the
mini-me backcourt, even with Theo (assuming he
actually plays this year).
Anyway thanks.

Now think about this before you get too
excited or too upset.
This trade, even if we made it, wouldn't get us
into the Guiness book, but it's a simple trade that
might help both teams.
We trade:
Resigned JV Hendu/CC
for
Fortson and a resigned Larry Hughes
Now of course it would depend on how the numbers
added up but I believe it might be doable.
The Hawks get a great rebounder/defender with some
injury past, but far less than some of our present guys
and Hughes, who has a lot of talent/potential but little
trade value. (We also get rid of Hendu/CC)
The Warriors a solid PG in JV who can help mold Arenas
and/or Jiri and they get rid of the Fortson contract.
(Who knows maybe even Hendu or CC might benefit
from a change in scenery.
Anyway I know it isn't a great trade but I do think it
could help both teams and we wouldn't have to give
up JT, or anyone we really want.
Anyway there it is, what do you think?

Folks we've just re-drafted Cal. He looks like
him, is a banger with a decent outside shooting
touch and little or no shot blocking ability.
Why do we let Babs actually do the draft? I
mean I don't agree with his trades sometimes
but his drafting, please!!!!
[censored] this. Let's get into position for LEBRON
in Homecourt

I agree, but even though I live in Oklahoma (hence the moniker) I'd sure hate to see them move to St. Louis,
although we did win a title in St. Louis if memory serves.
Fans are fickle everywhere, maybe more in Atlanta than
in most places, but if you put a winner on the court
they WILL come, remember the days of the old
Atlanta Air Force??? Who was our coach then???
Some little guy who coached like a BIG guy!!!
