  1. KG is always being overly emotional. But that doesn't speak for the entire team. Do you really believe they were thinking their championship hopes just went down the drain? You think they're getting depressed or down over 1 loss in November?

You think KG is going to let his team coast through games? You think he's going to allow his team to "not take games seriously?" He made Big Baby cry like a baby(lol) because he thought Glen was playing like a timid, lazy fool.

Where's your proof Boston is slacking, and not taking the early goings of this season seriously? You think Boston wanted to lose two games in a row? You think they wanted to lose to Indiana, or get thoroughly outworked on their own homecourt by us? Early in the season, late in the season, who cares, every game matters. You can't go around pretending the first ten games of the season doesn't matter.

And of course I don't think their championship hopes are down the drain, or that they're depressed. But they're probably not happy losing to a team they should have beaten(Indiana) or to a team they felt they could beat(us).

  2. This team was still playing extremely well in the playoffs last year despite missing their best player. They didn't just get a lot worse in 5 months. They're not going to over do it like they did last year and have nothing left for the playoffs. Do you seriously believe that they're playing as hard as they did last year?

I don't know, looks like KG took that loss to Atlanta pretty hard. Pretty good indicator he's taking things seriously.

And yes, I do believe they're playing hard. At least in the Atlanta game it appeared that way. And how should I know if they're playing as hard as last year? I hardly saw any of their games, so I can't say. But from the Atlanta game, it looked like they were trying out there.

The first game against Boston last year was far more intense than this one was.

That's because last year's team wasn't as good. Easier for Boston to come back and tie/take the lead. This year, we were able to hold off whatever comeback they attempted to mount, because we're that much better.

But I suspect that we will see a different Boston team later in the year.

Yeah, probably. But they won't walk all over us, like they did the last two years.

  3. I can buy the old and tired argument late in the season, but it's 10 games into the season and the Celtics have more depth. Not buying it. Boston doesn't seem to be taking the season as seriously as they have the last two years. That doesn't mean winning in Boston isn't a good win, but I think Boston is slacking abit.

Tell that to Celtic fans. Most of them believe it's old age that's killing them. They just can't keep up. And :laughing5: at "slacking" and "not taking the season a bit too seriously." What does that even mean? That they don't care they lost two home games already? That they're going to shrug their shoulders after an Indiana loss? They want another championship, I doubt they're "slacking."

  4. That the Patriots are the best team in the NFL?

No, he means that even a decidedly mediocre team like the Dolphins can give a "powerhouse" like the Saints some trouble.

Anyways, while I'm not happy with the loss, I guess you can't win them all. Dallas was coming off a bye, so they had all the time in the world to prepare their gameplan against us. See us against the 49'ers. Teams rarely lose coming off a bye.

We could be staring at 4-3 after next week, unfortunately. Even though the Dolphins should have won their game, the Saints showed some grit in their comeback, and they look locked in at this point. Can't see us waltzing into the Superdome and stealing the W right under their noses. But! Thank god we got Carolina and Washington after that.

  5. Falcons playing with fire here. How many times are they going to allow this NE team to march into their redzone? We're lucky that we've "limited" the damage, but I'm getting a little annoyed with the Patriots marching downfield on almost every possession. Defense needs to man up.

  6. Kevin Garnett 89

    Deron Williams 89

    Dwight Howard 89

    Carmelo Anthony 88

    Tim Duncan 88

    Rajon Rondo 87

    Brandon Roy 87

    Devin Harris 86

    Chauncey Billups 85

    Andre Iguodala 84

    Danny Granger 84

    Tony Parker 84

    Chris Bosh 84

    Al Jefferson 84

    Gilbert Arenas 84

    Joe Johnson 83

Rondo and Iguodala are rated higher than Joe? Rondo higher than Billups? Smh.

  7. Braves are now 3 games behind Colorado with 8 to play.

They have the worst home record among playoff contenders, but get a homestand against the Fish and the mailing-it-in Nationals to close it out.

The Rockies get out of clinch-hungry St. Louis this weekend, before a mid-week bout with the Brew Crew @ Coors (they're 8-0 against the Cards and Milwaukee). Next weekend they go to LA (3-12 against the Dodgers so far).

My guess is they'll tie and have a one-game playoff. Now that there's no more coin-flipping, I'd imagine the tiebreaker game will be here at Turner Field (4-4 head-to-head; Braves get a slightly better NL record)

I don't want to jinx anything by saying the Braves have a great chance, but it would be a shame if we don't see this pitching staff in the playoffs.

  8. Future tweets from JJ:

    - "I won the 5K kissin bet. But that b***h bit my bottom lip."

    - "These h*es at Strokers neva treat a brotha right in VIP. I shoud've went 2 Body Tap."

    - "I like when our fans boo Smoove when he shoots 3s. I tell him they not sayin BOOOO, they sayin SMOOOOV. Thats why he keep shootin haha."

    - "Damn, another D-Wade commercial? What da f*** I gotta do to get a good TV ad?"

    - "Woody is my dude, but if he get an EXT before me, ATL can kiss my a** goodbye!"

    - "Ima name my cru like Bibby did his. He has 'Team Dime'. Ima name my boys "Deuce's Wild".

    - "i saw Elle Duncan frm V103 today. Ima hit that before the season starts . . WATCH!"

    - "On the real tho, Violet Palmer got a FAT A**!! Ima brush up against that during the game on "accident". Watch her smile tho."

    - "ISO JOE all day . . erry day. That's why we won 47 last year."

JJ needs to be given two speeches:

    1) the "Twitter is the Debil" speech . . .and

    2) "They" don't like ghetto" speech.

Once that happens, the Twitter page will either come down or he'll change up what he says.

    I laughed.

  9. So the point is quite valid that you take away the extraneous features of each console that aren't related to playing games and then compare.

And the line becomes muddy. If you strip away all the "extraneous" features from a console, and just compare the bare bones aspect of playing games, than you're going to run into a ton of redundancy. Both game libraries are just too similar. So, that's where "extraneous" features come into play.

I doubt someone is sitting down and thinking to themselves, "Well... if the PS3 didn't have this or the 360 didn't have that, than it loses value." No, they're going to compare and contrast everything the 360 and PS3 has to offer before they buy. And that comparison will go beyond just looking at gaming capability. Most people these days are looking for more than just "playing games" on their consoles. They want to know what else it does.

As far as the online aspect, the PS3 does a decent job of it. In terms of strict online play, it performs well. It does lack the strong community aspect of Live, but hey its free, so I'm not complaining.

  10. If you take away Blu-Ray I don't think the PS3 is anywhere near as attractive of an option.

That's like someone saying, "If you take away Xbox Live away from the the 360, than its not near as attractive an option." You can't make that argument, because there is no point.

When comparing the two, you have to include Blu-Ray and Live, because they're going to be permanent fixtures on both consoles.

For me what makes the 360 so great is that it acts as a Media Center... That might be possible with the PS3 but I don't know

    It is.

  11. Chipper really needs to pull it together. We can't have our #3 hitter slumping like this, especially down the stretch. And why isn't Laroche hitting ahead of Garrett Anderson?

But despite that, I think sweeping the Marlins is highly possible. Pitching matchups favor us, and their best hitter, Hanley Ramirez, is in a little slump.
