  1. Can anyone clarify to me what selections the Hawks get in the 2007 NBA Draft? I know they lose their #1 pick to the Suns UNLESS it is a (top 3 pick?) and they receive the Pacers #1 pick IF (it is not a top ? pick)? And, can anyone tell me what kind of shape the Hawks are in with the salary cap (I thought I read somewhere that they are in pretty good shape?)? With the maturing of their young players and hopefully a good 2007 Draft and some key FA signings during the next offseason I am thinking/hoping that the Hawks will take another step to becoming a very good NBA Team (and, I do think the Hawks have an excellent chance of making it to the playoffs this year!).
  2. Yes, I can't argue that the Hawks would be a much better team right now if they had selected Chris Paul since they desparately needed a quality PG (and, probably still do!) but I do hope that Williams turns out to be the player the Hawks thought he could be and proves to be a valuable asset to the Hawks.
  3. Can anyone tell me how Marvin Williams played last night? I know it was his 1st game this year and he scored 9 points in limited play. But, I am guessing most people expected him to be rusty in his 1st game back but did he show signs of giving the Hawks a much needed boost/depth? I know that I keep reading that many of the so-called NBA experts say that the Hawks really blew it when they chose Williams over Chris Paul in 2005 Draft and I have to admit that Chris Paul is playing really well but I honestly think it is way too early to be saying that the Hawks made the wrong decision. Yes, Paul would look really good in a Hawks uniform especially since the Hawks could use his PG skills but I do think that in within the next couple of years Williams will prove his value to the Hawks and justify his pick by the Hawks. And, I am not agruing the point that Paul would not have been the more logical choice by the Hawks since they were definately in more need of a PG than another SF but I think we will be very pleased with Williams in the very near future.
