43 wins seems more realistic. I I think too many people are putting theirs hats on Smoove being gone. We may be prettier to watch on offense but that doesn't mean we will be a better.team.

It comes down to Coach Bud in my opinion.

At least DET and Joe Dumars take chances unlike us.

We can laugh at the picture but I have a feeling they will be better than us sadly.

Although Milsap is a step back from Smith(I like him though) I don't see how folks are saying the Hawks won't make the playoffs. Heat, Knicks, Pacers, Nets and Bulls are the only locks. If the Hawks don't get one of the other 3 spots I will be shocked.

My thought is it wont be since Josh doesn't want to go to Houston anymore. It sure seemed like the trade talks slowed way down on the Asik front after it was suggested that Josh wasn't keen on playing with Dwight.I hope you are right and I am wrong, but I don't see Asik ending up here.

Josh in Houston would be PERFECT. They have a clear #1 option in James Harden, real center in Asik, they play an uptempo system and a good coach who is considered probably the best post player in NBA history.

I think josh would be a big help on them on defense AND offense cause at least get you 16/8...19/9 tops. they need that. I'm sure McHale would get the best out of him.

Gregg Anthony said it best around the deadline, The Hawks and Josh Smith don't mix. He said Josh reminds him of Rasheed Wallace in terms of skillset. Rasheed Wallace was a headcase in Portland, went to a team that fitted his style of play perfectly, had a strict coach and the won a championship.

I'm not surprised at what Josh does positive or negative anymore. He doesn't fit the team. I think Josh would be better off going to another team(whatever team that is). The Hawks would better off without him assuming we land Al Jefferson or Milsap.

Josh hasn't been athletic for about 3 or so years. Didn't Kenny Smith say he was losing athleticism during the bulls series?. I haven't seen him jump high or see him doing anything "athletic" in a few years. he'll dunk on someone here and there. It's not hard for a 6'9 guy to catch lobs and dunk.

I think people say he is athletic because generally if someone is is a very, very good player but not a fundamentalist we assume they are athletic. Maybe josh plays off of instinct and good vision. I don't know.

Josh Smith can not dominate by scoring. Hes not a scorer. He can and will get 15-17 on a championship team but that's about it.Hes a damn good defender and passer. He would be perfect next to Harden, Irving. Rpse or Durant.

Well when you look at who makes the max I understand why he wants that much because he is in that group but to be honest unless Dwight Howard comes here WHICH I HIGHLY DOUBT i think Josh doesn't resign here.

It's simple. No one is going to give up valuable asseets for 30 games of Josh Smith with the HIGH possibility he walks. Josh only wants the max from the Hawks or any other undesirable team in my opinion. He will take less for The Rockets, Bulls, Nets, Celtics, Knicks or Mavericks. My prediction is he go to the Rockets. Perfect spot for his skillset.

I heard Ferry rejected a JJ Hickson or Amare deal when he was in Cleveland. Not surprised.

Why would Josh play well tonight? The Bucks are 2 1/2 games behind the Hawks. They(and everybody) is trying to avoid the Heat in the 1st round.
