I don't see how a culture change is possible as long as Josh is here. He's the poster child for the team's lack of accountability over the past several years.

I agree with Diesel. You all are jumping for joy for nothing. He hasn't done anything and has never built a championship level squad. Putting 4 bums with Lebron doesn't count. We don't know if Sund was ever allowed to trade JJ or Marvin. As of today were are a less talented team. I will still watch and I will still attend some games but the Ferry worshipping is getting pretty pathetic around here. I like JJ and Marvin and they both are going to teams in better situations than the one they left. Yeah Smoove will lead us to the championship.

From reading and listening to interviews it seems as though the hawks will start to small guards.Teague and Harris will probably be the starters in the back court. We know Smoove and Horford will start but will they be a SF/PF combo or PF/C combo. Seeing as we haven't picked up a starting quality SF I assume Ferry wants Smoove at SF. People think the Hawks are boring. Maybe that changes this season but i think hawks games get low rating nationally.

my only comment is this... Deng didn't get a big push from the Bulls. I think Deng is the only guy Smoove was worthy of replacing. Deng was choosen simply because of his stats and defense.

Ehh I wouldn't worry about only having 3 primetime games. If we are good and a fun team to watch then David Stern will add more just like he did a few years ago with us.

No it was time to move on. We can't keep doing the same thing year in and year out hoping to get lucky. Changes had to be made. Why waste the next 5 or 6 prime years of Smith, Horford and Teague? According to reports, Johnson filed paperwork in Georgia to establish himself as the father of the young boy and he is also seeking joint custody, if the child is indeed his. Johnson also wants a DNA test to make sure he fathered the child. But the most ridiculous request by Johnson is for the mother of the child, Shannon Beckton, to also pay child support so that he won’t have to take full financial responsibility. The judge has yet to rule in the case. Johnson was recently traded to the Brooklyn Nets and will team up with NBA All-Star Deron Williams

Brooklyn Nets guard Joe Johnson has a $126-million contract tied to his name and now he's filed legal docs to make sure his son gets a piece of it ... TMZ has learned.

The All-Star guard filed paternity paperwork earlier this week in Georgia to legally establish himself as the father of his alleged 5-year old son, whose mother is named Shannon Beckton.

In the docs, Johnson says he still wants to test for DNA (just in case) ... but if he is the father, he is asking the judge for joint physical and legal custody, for his son to be able to inherit from him, and for his son to take on his last name.

A judge has yet to rule.

Interesting question. What's interesting, if the reports are true, is that Ferry is trying to land Dwight WITHOUT giving up Horford. So what does that suggest about how Ferry views this. Obviously if the Hawks happened to get Dwight without parting with Horford, Dwight would start at five and Horf and Josh would each move over a spot. I think too much is made out of what forward spot Josh plays. What is of significance is HOW Josh plays. At either forward spot, he can decide to be a slasher and attack the basket or he can take those jumpers.

I would love to bring Childress back. I think part of the reason he left was because of some of the vets that was on the team at the time.Childress and Smoove knows each others game very well. How many times did Childress get an offensive rebound from a Smoove airball? lol

The Hawks offense will be a top 10 in scoring. I expect smoove to lead us in scoring. Limited ISO plays and more fast breaks, slashing and pick and rolls.. Skeptical about the defense.Not gonna predict the individual stats(which I'm very good at) until October.
