  1. If this trade did happen, Zendon Hamilton would be a great addition as our 5th big man. He played sparingly for Denver last year and is caught in a log jam. Just a thought.
  2. Not to be anal, but it's spelled McCloud. Denver tried to trade him at the deadline last year, so he is expendable. He would be a good vet to have: his contract expires, he can shoot although his % didn't reflect that last year, he can play multiple positions. He's also a team first guy and stepped in at PG last year when Hardaway went down. You're not going to win with him there, but it's good to have in an emergency. With Posey, we wouldn't need to sign Ira and could pick up a big man with the open spot. Too bad Haslem and Willis signed away. I've posted this trade before on RealGM with bad reveiws. It's a solid trade for both. Nuggets fans seem to think Posey is woth a lot more than Glover. I say add a 2nd rounder next year and call it even. They need O and we need D. The sticky part is adding Crawford's contract. Good trade RLHawk!
  3. HORNETS- Mohammed, Laettner or White, Glover and Lue WIZARDS- Campbell, Lynch, Crawford,EDavis HAWKS- Hamilton, Whitney, EThomas, Augmon This seems fair to me...although we may have to add a draft pick. We get a very good young SG, a good young PF/C with less $$ and years than Nazr(I would still hate to lose him though) who is tough on D. Augmon would replace Newble, and Whitney would provide insurance for JT/DD and some cap space next year(he has a team opt). We then could sign Willis and offer him more pt. The Hornets wouldn't have to lose Campbell for nothing(they aren't going to extend him for what he wants so he'll walk for the exception somwhere) and they replace him with Laettner or White as a reserve for the emerging Magloire and get the young PF/C they want to spare both Magloire and PJ. If Nazr and Magloire both play well together, they could let PJ walk next summer rather than extending him(cheap bastards). They also get a PG for depth in Lue and a good young SG/SF for bench scoring in Glover...both come off the books next year and could possibly allow them to let Nailon walk(cheap bastards). The Wizards get a legit C to allow Haywood more development without any pressure much like the Magloire situation and a huge chunk of $$ free to spend on a big time player next summer...to me that's worth losing Hamilton who they're not sure about his future in Wash anyways. They pick up a bruiser in Lynch for protection of MJ and JJ and wouldn't need to resign PJones. EDavis and Crawford are just cap fillers, but when healthy would provide quality depth.

    Big Dog

Did anyone see The Best Damn Sports Show? George Karl was on and he was asked several times why he made the trade. Each time Karl responded with the same points, one of which included the need for beter defense. I was waiting for Salley or SASmith to ask Karl if he thought Kukoc was a better defensive player than GRob, of course they let the insult slide by each time. What was even better was the highlights they showed of GRob when they were talking about him. On one clip, OUR Big Dog stormed the lane catching up to the offensive player driving to the hoop and swatted the ball out of play like he was a defensive freak ala Ben Wallace. Does he really beleive that their team D and wins will improve by trading away someone of GRob's talent?
  5. I like it! I'm not so sure he would want to come back, but he would be welcome. He was never used properly as a Hawk, but this time he would have a clearly defined role as defensive stopper on our bench. Not sure what NO would want for him or if they'd consider trading him, but it's a good thought. Would we want to sacrafice Dion in a package with CC and EDavis for Augmon and Lynch(who asked to be traded)?
  6. Yes, he is an emerging talent, but he will never develop without consistant pt. I realize that injuries have slowed his progress. We're looking to contend and we have a lot of good young talent without him. Would he be best on our bench or as trade bait to aquire a vet 2/3 who can stroke the 3 like a Piatkowski, LMurray, or etc.?
