  1. Apparently fan voting has nothing to do with how a player is playing this year.

  2. I've been to the two home preseason games. The replacement officials are calling fouls on pretty much anything - but seem to be fair to each team. They have been told to call it close and they are. Teams have been warned not to complain about the refs. Against the Bobcats they had no hesitation throwing out T's. That's why Larry Brown got 2 T's, an ejection and a $60K fine. The Bobcat franchise also got a $60K fine. And this is preseason!

The Hawks need to realize how the game is being called and take the ball to the hoop.

  3. We are stuck with Woody. Sund has said his goals were to get home court advantage in the playoffs and to get to the second round. We have done that.

They signed Woody for 2 years, 1 year ago. Do you think ASG will buy out Woody's last year's and hire a new coach?

What we do in the off season will be huge if we want to continue to get better.

  4. Good on you Brotha!

I got my season tickets last week. I was able to get last years pricing and discounted tickets for this years playoffs. They threw in free parking, which I don't need- if you need parking passes, let me know - I'll make you a deal.

    Go HAWKS.

    :friends1:

  5. Glad we won! Only 36 points at halftime??? Our D made it tuff for Deewayne. Every time Josh chucked a long jumper- the boo birds were out. Someone shooting 60 something % from the free throw line shouldn't be shooting long jumpers.

Acie's parents were in attendance- got to see him ride the bench.

  6. All is well with the Hawks again- for now. JJ the all star was back in form, ready to take over in the 4th if we needed him. Bibby got his shot back. Flip was really good, didn't force as many as per usual.

Even after another slow start, by the last half of the 2nd quarter, the Hawks were in control. They put the Nets away nicely in the 4th. We finally got the Nets monkey off our back. We can play better, the Nets got too many second and third chances, but if we can just be more consistant from game to game...

  7. A 7and 1 homestand- I'm loving it. I was going to be happy with 6-2. I hope we can hold our own in January because Febuary is gonna be a road month.

Last year I was hopeing for 41 wins, we got 37.

    Is 50 wins possible?

  8. Marvin has shown the most improvement of anyone on the team. He is much better at going to the basket and has added the three pointer, although he hasn't taken many lately.

    JJ- still solid

    Smoove-no improvement

Horford-no improvement-still playing great out of position

Bibby-much more consistent than last year

Mo and Flip have been hot and cold-I still like the two of them for the price of Chilz

Oh what we could be with a real big man!

  9. We need to defense the 3 point shot tonight - the Knicks are taking almost 30 three pointers a game. Their percentage isn't great, but on any given night, who knows what can happen.

Joe's toe looks like it is still bothering him - he winced noticably a couple of times during Wednesday's game.

  10. Just got back from Philips...decent game. Wish we would have built on that 20+ point lead, but a fairly easy win.

Great to see Josh back. He looked as sooth as ever, in sync with the team. I don't think he played more than 5 minutes at a time. ZaZa looked like his shoulder was much better. Only one high flying backdoor slam from Josh, but he looked great going to the basket.

Looking forward to the Knicks on Friday to see if we can defend the 3 pointer - they average almost 30 per game from downtown!
