  1. Let's not forget we got Dan Dickau in 2002- stole him from the Kings (he was their 1st round pick). What a jewel he was.
  2. The attendance was listed as 14,701. It looked a lot less than that.
  3. Apparently fan voting has nothing to do with how a player is playing this year. 4. I've been to the two home preseason games. The replacement officials are calling fouls on pretty much anything - but seem to be fair to each team. They have been told to call it close and they are. Teams have been warned not to complain about the refs. Against the Bobcats they had no hesitation throwing out T's. That's why Larry Brown got 2 T's, an ejection and a $60K fine. The Bobcat franchise also got a $60K fine. And this is preseason! The Hawks need to realize how the game is being called and take the ball to the hoop.
  5. I will be there- sect 108. Gotta see our new team.
  6. We are stuck with Woody. Sund has said his goals were to get home court advantage in the playoffs and to get to the second round. We have done that. They signed Woody for 2 years, 1 year ago. Do you think ASG will buy out Woody's last year's and hire a new coach? What we do in the off season will be huge if we want to continue to get better.
  7. Good on you Brotha! I got my season tickets last week. I was able to get last years pricing and discounted tickets for this years playoffs. They threw in free parking, which I don't need- if you need parking passes, let me know - I'll make you a deal. Go HAWKS. :friends1:
  8. Bought season tickets for $1408. Get guaranteed seats for all playoffs- $45 for 1st round, $55 for 2nd round, $65 for 3rd round and $75 for when the lakers come in for the finals.
  9. Going to all playoff games- section 108 row F. It's gonna be fun! Paid $45.
  10. Yep, definite boos after long jumpers during the Miami game. They were not as noticeable during tha Cleveland game. Someone who is making less than 60% from the free throw line shouldn't be taking long two's or three's unless the clock shot is expiring.
  11. Hawks.com is saying the game is still on for now. My seat won't be empty!
  12. Glad we won! Only 36 points at halftime??? Our D made it tuff for Deewayne. Every time Josh chucked a long jumper- the boo birds were out. Someone shooting 60 something % from the free throw line shouldn't be shooting long jumpers. Acie's parents were in attendance- got to see him ride the bench.
  13. My thoughts exactly JackB1. Get it to the Boss down low or from 15 foot in.
  14. I hope all is well with Josh. Maybe he needed an appointment with his proctologist. If he could just pull his head out of his ....

    Hawks vs Nets

All is well with the Hawks again- for now. JJ the all star was back in form, ready to take over in the 4th if we needed him. Bibby got his shot back. Flip was really good, didn't force as many as per usual. Even after another slow start, by the last half of the 2nd quarter, the Hawks were in control. They put the Nets away nicely in the 4th. We finally got the Nets monkey off our back. We can play better, the Nets got too many second and third chances, but if we can just be more consistant from game to game...
  16. Josh made a high flying reverse dunk on a breakaway that sent the crowd into a frenzy - the loudest the crowd at Philips was all night. He was way too quick for Yao going to the hoop.

    Pinch me

A 7and 1 homestand- I'm loving it. I was going to be happy with 6-2. I hope we can hold our own in January because Febuary is gonna be a road month. Last year I was hopeing for 41 wins, we got 37. Is 50 wins possible?
  18. Marvin has shown the most improvement of anyone on the team. He is much better at going to the basket and has added the three pointer, although he hasn't taken many lately. JJ- still solid Smoove-no improvement Horford-no improvement-still playing great out of position Bibby-much more consistent than last year Mo and Flip have been hot and cold-I still like the two of them for the price of Chilz Oh what we could be with a real big man!
  19. Woodson wanted to pull JJ and Al to let them get some well deserved applause. It was Woody's best call of the night. Acie even got to play a few minutes - if Woody finds out, he is going to ticked off.
  20. Thanks D. That got er done. Nice job on the scoreboard! :worshippy:
  21. I can't see the scoreboard at all since it has been new and improved. :computer8: Got any ideas?
  22. Gibson is out - he killed us last year in a game at Philips.
  23. Thanks. Good quality video. :beer11:
  24. I reckon we got it together enough fer ya.
  25. http://www.nba.com/hawks/fans/Hawks_Fan_Guide.html Cameras are allowed - I bring mine often. Note that prohibited items are bags over 12" X 12". You will probably only use your longer lenses (telephoto) so you may want to have one on your camera and carry one other in if your bag is too large.
