But Smith acknowledged before Saturday’s game that he is playing on a sore left ankle that has been bothering him for some time. “I didn’t re-injure myself or anything,” Smith said of the high ankle sprain he suffered four games into the season, an injury that cost him 12 games after that. “I’m just not able to get that explosive lift off my left leg the way I’m used to. It’s a little more work than I’m used to but I’m adjusting to it.”
Smoove is hurting right now and we still win games. Just think how much better we'll be once he gets back to 100%.

Those are all good points D but I think adding a big man should be our top priority. A guy like Rasheed or Camby would do wonders for this team because they would actually bring some size to our team.

:no-no:

Hawks defense will be too much for the Bulls.

The logic around here is we lose because of Woody and we win in spite of Woody. I just don't get it. The man has proved that he can put together one of the best defensive schemes in the NBA. Does he need some help on his offensive strategy? Yes, but what coaches outside of Phil Jackson, Jerry Sloan, and Pop don't need help.

Acie just doesn't have any type of offense right now. His jumpshot is terrible and he doesn't finish at the rim very well but he still sets other people up for good shots. I think he still needs to get 15 minutes a night to help his confidence and to see if he can improve.
-
It seems like he passes on an open shot and ends up taking a contested jumper. Once he stops doing that hopefully he'll start shooting good again.

I'll be there.

Thanks for looking that up, I was being lazy. I haven't checked the numbers but I'd bet we're somewhere between 10-15 ppg better defensively with Smoove than without him.
With Smoove in the lineup we're only giving up 88.6 ppg and without him we're giving up 100.8 ppg.
-
Have we given up 100 in any game with Smoove?
Dallas scored 100 but we haven't given up more than 100 with Smoove in the lineup.

Yes injuries are a fact of life in the NBA but the fact is that we lost our 2nd best player and by far our most important defensive player and judging by the way we played before and have played since then it's pretty obvious how big of an impact it's had on us. I don't think we've given up 100 points in any game since Smith has been back, have we?
To me if we beat Orlando more than they beat us then we're the better team. Yes we match up well with Boston but they beat us more than we beat them so they're obviously the better team.
In the past month the Cavs are the only team to score more than 100 against the Hawks and that was without Smoove. For the year we have only given up more than 100 in 6 games.

To be fair to Flip, he did start the season on an offensive tear and earned Woody's trust.
However, Flip seems to have 10 feet of rope before he gets yanked. Mean while Law plays on egg shells b/c he know Woody will yank him after the slightest mistake.
I just believe if Woody treated them both equally, Law's game would emerge as the true backup PG rather then forcing a SG like Flip to play PG for stretches of every game. It would also help Flip be more consistent and efficient where he can play off the ball as scorer with he and Law in the game together. (Law got Flip some open looks early in the Boston game). Again, Law only had 5 assist in 7 minutes vs. the World Champs ! Would love to see what he would do with the confidence 20 minutes per night would give him.
Acie didn't play against the Celtics.

We still have a shot at the division if the Panthers lose out.
-
I really don't think you can play Flip less minutes right now but Mo is a different story.
-
Why him? It's not as if Marvin is that good.
If Marvin gets moved to the bench we have no SF on the floor.
-
It's amazing how much he has improved his game this year. Woody needs to think about running the offense through Marvin at times because he is our most efficent scorer.
Acie needs to get 15-20 minutes a night to help improve his confidence and to keep Bibby fresh. Until Acie improves his jumpshot Woody can't give him 25 minutes but when Acie does this team will be much better. How many minutes Solo gets is going to depend on matchups and Zaza.

I think we need a legit Center to put us over the top.
+1

I agree with you 100%. Rondo is a solid role player but he benefits from having 3 all stars on his team.
-
If the Spurs are still interested mabey we could SNT Childress for the rights to Tiago Splitter.
-
If you can figure out what game I'll play.
-
If Chill is william to take a significant discount to play for us I'm all for it but if he's not than we need to work out a sign and trade that will bring us a big man.
-
What a deuche bag
-
We need a big man that can rebound and block shots. I don't know if Deke could come in and do that but it's worth a shot and I would love to see Marcus Camby on this team.
