  1. It depends. First, I'm concerned about Camby's longevity. Secondly, I think Chillz may want to come back just to come back.

In my mind, I think that we need to compare and contrast the differences of offering Chillz a contract vs. Offering Marvin a contract. I would consider who could bring us the most back in trade and who will be a better fit for this team.

Josh Childress is not coming back to the Hawks.

  2. But Smith acknowledged before Saturday’s game that he is playing on a sore left ankle that has been bothering him for some time. “I didn’t re-injure myself or anything,” Smith said of the high ankle sprain he suffered four games into the season, an injury that cost him 12 games after that. “I’m just not able to get that explosive lift off my left leg the way I’m used to. It’s a little more work than I’m used to but I’m adjusting to it.”

Smoove is hurting right now and we still win games. Just think how much better we'll be once he gets back to 100%.

  3. The logic around here is we lose because of Woody and we win in spite of Woody. I just don't get it. The man has proved that he can put together one of the best defensive schemes in the NBA. Does he need some help on his offensive strategy? Yes, but what coaches outside of Phil Jackson, Jerry Sloan, and Pop don't need help.

  4. Yes injuries are a fact of life in the NBA but the fact is that we lost our 2nd best player and by far our most important defensive player and judging by the way we played before and have played since then it's pretty obvious how big of an impact it's had on us. I don't think we've given up 100 points in any game since Smith has been back, have we?

To me if we beat Orlando more than they beat us then we're the better team. Yes we match up well with Boston but they beat us more than we beat them so they're obviously the better team.

In the past month the Cavs are the only team to score more than 100 against the Hawks and that was without Smoove. For the year we have only given up more than 100 in 6 games.

  5. To be fair to Flip, he did start the season on an offensive tear and earned Woody's trust.

However, Flip seems to have 10 feet of rope before he gets yanked. Mean while Law plays on egg shells b/c he know Woody will yank him after the slightest mistake.

I just believe if Woody treated them both equally, Law's game would emerge as the true backup PG rather then forcing a SG like Flip to play PG for stretches of every game. It would also help Flip be more consistent and efficient where he can play off the ball as scorer with he and Law in the game together. (Law got Flip some open looks early in the Boston game). Again, Law only had 5 assist in 7 minutes vs. the World Champs ! Would love to see what he would do with the confidence 20 minutes per night would give him.

Acie didn't play against the Celtics.

  6. It's amazing how much he has improved his game this year. Woody needs to think about running the offense through Marvin at times because he is our most efficent scorer.

Acie needs to get 15-20 minutes a night to help improve his confidence and to keep Bibby fresh. Until Acie improves his jumpshot Woody can't give him 25 minutes but when Acie does this team will be much better. How many minutes Solo gets is going to depend on matchups and Zaza.
