Sounds good, but I may have conflicting interests ;) (Titans-Colts!)
Do both at the same time! Thats what makes it so great!

Alright ya'll the season is only a couple of days away so I thought we could have a Hawksquawk.net "Town Hall Meeting" to discuss various topics on the upcoming season.
I think it would be very interesting to hold a chat using the "Chat" tool on the site.
I also suggest a moderator that helps maintain the discussion of 5-8 topics chosen by us the fans!
DATE: Monday October, 27 (TODAY)
TIME: 9:00 PM EST
Thanks

Damn 4 of the top 50! Thats awesome.

Acie was a big three ball slinger in college.
-
Horfy since when did we start calling him that?
Naw JK.
Anyways I think his reaction was also great. He seems so passionate about the game.
-
Very nice!

Very Nice. I like Thadeus Young. I think he will do well in Philly and could be a future dbl-dbl guy.

Our schedules are always crazy tough in the start.

Anything new with Speedy?

Tonight Flip took 13 shots, Horford 6 and Smith 9. That isn't going to work. He took 7 three pointers for chrissakes and he is a career 28% shooter from 3.
Woody needs to nip this in the bud and let this guy know if he starts jacking up too many shots he is going to be sitting.
Wow 7 three pointers! Thats unheard of. Maybe Woody asked him to try and see how his deep-range shot was. Imagine if Flip could come in and hit 40% from behind the line. That would be a nice addition.

I still don't like when coaches call out players in front of the team. But its business as usual with J-smoove and Woody.
-
Woodson spoke the truth he just went about it the wrong way. I dont think Josh was happy that Woody called him out in front of his other teammates. Woodson should have spoken to him privately. Its more professional.
Josh's remarks are kind of childish. I think he was saying it in a sarcastic way.

Law will be starting sooner than later. I dont think Bibby can handle a full season of starting every game. The Hawks will start Law just to prevent Bibby from getting hurt.

Yea there is no way people would have known Peavy would be on the block. At least with Santana (last year) there was speculation that he would be traded during the season because the Twins could not afford him.Your point, while having some merits, also suffers from a critical point: how would anyone know that the Padres, coming off a winning season, a new ballpark, and apparently setting up for a long run at dominance would trade away a 27 year old, Cy Young pitcher? That makes no sense. The trade for Tex made sense in that Smoltz was nearing the end but was having a great season. The thinking had to be that Tex could jump start the team like McGriff. I just can't see how anyone would have such a crystal ball to know that Peavy would be available. -
-
The key difference to this trade and the Tex trade is that Peavy is signed long-term. He is signed until '11 and has a option for 2012.
I am all for trading Hanson because my philosophy is to deal at the position you want to upgrade and at this position its SP.

The AJC gave the move a "D"

Yep, it's no secret from listening to this interview that he's an Obama supporter.
S-E-KOU SMITH is for sure an Obama supporter. He had a nice tag in at the end.

At 6:37 did Sekous say Sarah Palin?

Thanks dolf!

Sekou says that Marvin will not miss any extended time.

Thanks for sharing. I sat on the Falcons 45 yard line, 26 rows up. There were 8-10 Bears fan around.
After the game was over I was calling all my homies and saying "how disappointing (pause) for Bears fan's"
