Meh. I want nothing to do with Ingram. Any insider rumblings about Bridges being available?

    murray + oo to NO

ingram + Daniels + frp to BKN

    bridges to ATL

figure out a backup center via fa, trade or draft. Bridges fits what we want to do much better than ingram. And he doesn’t miss 30% of every season.

They are definitely not trading Bridges.

I agree with you.  It makes sense for them to shop Trae around in either case.  If they are actually considering trading him, you have to see what kind of value you can get back.  If you want to trade Murray, it's helpful to drive a narrative that you'd rather keep him, to make sure you're getting other teams' best offers.  I'm guessing we will keep Trae and get what we get for Murray, but I do genuinely believe there's a possibility we move forward without Trae.

I would think they shopped him at the deadline to get some type of value.   I think some teams around the league wouldn't mind having Trae but are not going to give a lot to get him.

I don't know that Hollinger is closely connected to any specific NBA front offices (including ours) but he is definitely more than Bill Simmons or some other columnist given his prior experience as a GM.  I don't think he left with a ton of respect from his peers after his run as GM and don't view him as a gospel source on anything but I definitely note what he said.  In fairness, what he said was not giving his own opinion but sharing the opinion of one or more "league handicappers" which invites a bit of interpretation given that this is a strange and vague term.  But if you are inclined to think that Hawks ownership and front office personnel are eager to unload Trae, this is one more piece of support for that.  I still have a hard time thinking that this is real given Trae's impact on ticket sales.

The best reason for me to think that SA doesn't want Young is the way that Pops treated him a few years ago.  He seemed to blame Young at least in part for LP getting fired (and never seemed to acknowledge some really big screw ups from LP).  Obviously, LP bad mouthed Young to Pops as well.  So while I think Wemby would post amazing numbers playing with Young, I'm not convinced that Pops is eager to bring Trae into the Spurs organization.

    Not a pops fan.   Overrated

  4. Id trade Trae myself, I know that's not popular but it's my observance.   I just can't distance myself for shooting us out of ballgames in the late 4th, although I will admit he has been better this year.   These games he has missed the team seemed to play much better together.   He plays in the play in game, and we look like crap as a team like the earlier part of the season.

I just think DJ is a better fit as a teammate and player.

    It's not a hard fix

Get Edey or to a lesser extent, Clingan. Edey fixes all of our critical issues. Clingan fix most of our critical issues.

Supes, you really campaigning for Edey.   Will he even be available?

Let’s say the owner changes and is a fully committed to spending whatever it takes to make the hawks better .

let’s play hypothetically owners are opening the wallet up.

do we have a capable front office that can make good roster moves to build a strong team ???

last I read the front office was trying to make nba 2k trades in real life. I don’t know about you two but I believe we have two problems. Cheap ass owner & a front office of fan boys with no real nba business experience.

Another question is this!…what if it’s too late for it to even matter that resseler is willing to pay into the luxury tax?…too late in the process where teams aren’t willing to negotiate with us knowing that we are in a tight place, a sink hole if you will.

while I don’t believe we have a great front office, I also believe Ressler shot his own team in the foot by taking too long to commit to spending the necessary funds to get us to the next level. I mean even if we have a great FO, do they really have enough time in 1 offseason to make meaningful moves to retain Trae or rebuild around Trae/Murray?

do we have a capable front office that can make good roster moves to build a strong team ???

My answer is no.   Worse than Pete Babcock.

Well are players on the injury list that aren't actually injured? I guess we can't know for sure, but I'm assuming the league is keeping an eye on these things.

I don't think the league does.

Who are we going to get this summer? NBA is tough, quality free agents just hard to come by and are expensive. Seems like we might need to luck out in the draft.

My opinion is the ownership and front office have to work together.  It's obvious the needs of this team but we as a organization can't or won't do it.
