    The other part to that is that Dennis is a traditional hotdog. I know.. he's young. However, I think Bud really hates that. First he's not giving Bud exactly what he wants and second when he does get in, he hotdogs and doesn't play soundly. It might be too big of a stretch for a player that's traditional like Dennis to do the things that Bud wants. The other question is speed. Whether it's Teague, Parker, Mills, even Avery J (to some extent), Bud likes a PG with Speed. Those guys can break down defenses.

    Maybe I'm reading this wrong but are you saying Patty Mills has speed ?? The same guy they call Fatty Mills???

    And Avery J wasn't fast at all he was a floor general that's why his nickname was the little general.

    Parks has speed and so do we in Teague

    In we can develop him we'll have out floor general in Dennis

    Why would we want a player who has negative value?

    Just because Houston want's to dump him doesn't mean we should grab his contract

    How in the world do you think he has negative value a mobile Center

    that rebounds and plays great D ??

    his contract is just a year and comes off the book in time for a good FA class

    If he works out we resign him got way lower if not he walks no biggie

    The myriad of awards that the NBA hands out only to players they've deemed as "stars"?

    Which award? That means you'd have to award a guy a max contract for balling out on the final year of his last contract

    I've never seen what all the fuss was about with this dude. He cannot set the tone defensively, which is what max players have to do in addition to being a clear team leader in order to vault their squad into a true contender. The only max quality he has is the ability to drop fiddy and get to the line 10+ times. Being willing to leave Phil and his undisputed championship know-how (let alone 30 million more greenbacks) tells you all you need to know about the man.

    Phil hasn't done anything from the office. So who knows if he is any good. Now if he was coaching that's a different story. Him leaving 30 shows he wants to win.

    I don't want to him to go to the Heat but if he did I'm sure he'd buy into the D system and turn up his.

    Korver wasn't a good defender until he got with Thibs though and learned to play team D. His size definitely helps him and the lack of size hurts Jimmer for sure, but that doesn't mean he can't be useful in the right system. I guarantee you that Pop could get something out of Jimmer if he wanted.

    I haven't seen a guy that has gotten minutes for Pop that could play some sort of D

    Jimmer can play D on Pgs cuz they're to fast and he's to short to guard most Sgs

    the way the could fix it is you have

    1 max contract per team

    Then 1 contracts of 10-12 mil

    Then 3 contracts of 5-7 mil

    Then the rest under 5 mil

    Wade or Melo would only make 10 - 12 a year and bosh Wade/Melo making 7

    They would never play for that
