Hard pass.

Or Tim Duncan.
There are attention w#$#*&s in every age and guys who care more about focusing on the game. MJ lived for the game and crafted his image off the court around that very successfully but he never had a hold-out or anything like that even when he was getting paid basically the same as Toni Kukoc 9 years into his career or when he took a pay decrease with the Bulls 8 years in. He got his during his last uncapped years but never flirted with another team.
His retirements were also completely unlike Brett Favre's desperate, attention-seeking behavior. He burned out twice (gambling, father's death, etc.? the first time and post-championships the second) and rekindled his passion and returned twice.
I don't see any reason to compare him to Lebron.
These guys are individuals who are not all wired the same.
This. Perfect.

I am starting to love this actually. The lebron hate is really starting to pile up. This guy really know how to ruin a reputation.
They are calling this one The Indecision.

Dwight is by no means the biggest offensive threat since Chamberlain. Woah. I'm going to have to process that for a bit.
Move aside, Hakeem!
I think the common thread is those were 2 big men with even bigger egos who could do no wrong in their own eyes.

I'm pretty sure that if you were to put MJ, even Magic in today's free agency, that they would be doing the same things that the superstars of today do.
I'll agree with that.
Like Kevin Durant.
-
Except he did, but worse. He only retired 3 times...
I don't think any bulls fan would say that Jordan stabbed them in the back or betrayed them. He is their god. He made that franchise a house hold name. Stop spouting garbage.
-
What is calculated though really? Nothing happens until he decides.
-
I could have seen Jordan doing this. He was supposedly a bigger douche than James has ever been.
Except he didn't.

Also, if you pay attention to what writers are saying about us, we are getting much more respect nationally now than we have in a long long time.
-
I think this organization is just not letting much out. That's about it.

You guys are crazy. We have one of the better lineups in the east at the moment. Add Deng or lance and we are very intriguing this year.

One thing lance can do is take over a game offensively. DMC cannot do that.
-
Screw it. Lets take a risk and get lance. I'm on board.

U can save that sh*t for someone else
Dan Gilbert can go to hell for that plantation act he pulled
Sign me up for the plantation that treats slaves the way owners treat lebron. I'll be first in line.
Comparing that to actual real life plantation owners is probably more offensive than anything gilbert ever did.

Maybe next up can be the titles that don't tell you what the thread is about.
"So I heard from a source.."
"What do you guys think of.."
Etc..

Developing story:
100% chance of milking all the attention he can get for as long as possible!

Looks like an overpaid first round exit team to me.

The flight records show that the same plane used to meet 2 other free agents was in Miami though. Maybe not Gilbert, but somebody from Cleveland was sent there.Gilbert apparently tweeted that he was not on a business trip once all of the speculation emerged.
-
Way too much going on there.
-
I'd take a chance on Monroe. Detroit is an awful franchise and he hasn't had particularly good coaching yet.

I guess I must have missed the big news about the Hawks signing Luol Deng! According to Wikipedia Deng currently plays for the Atlanta Hawks. I am guessing they are jumping the gun a little or did I really miss the news?
The other day, Tim Howard was the secretary of defense on Wikipedia.

I know that potential lineup doesn't seem amazing, but I don't know who in the east has a clearly better team than that.
We almost/should have beat Indy with a weaker team, Miami is not getting any better, especially with wade's body turning 75 next year.
Not that we would be handed anything, but that potential team could give anybody in the east a hard time.
-
8- 10 million??
I have a feeling that Dallas will be to willing to overpay Deng , once they strikeout on Melo, Lebron, and Bosh.
So we sign him while lebron is soaking up all of his much needed attention.
I think we let him know he is out first choice, rather than a contingency plan like those other teams.
-
I'm really intrigued by thabo and Deng together. Can't say how it would turn out, but we'd have some interesting wing combinations to throw at teams.
Our 2nd unit could be one of the better ones in the league.

Atleast he made the right decision, IMO. Cleveland needs some hope. That is a sad sad sports town.
