  2. I like it.

The only thing I would add is Jamal Crawford to be added to the banner. I understand that he's a Free Agent, but I still like to consider him part of the team until he officially signs with another team. Kinda weird for me to see Marvin up there and not Jamal.

  3. I think it's because Horford can play the 4 and the 5. If you trade Smith, you can slide Horford down to Power Forward and still be okay, but if you trade Horford, you have no Center. If you're trading Horford, you better be getting back a Center.

Horford's not untouchable. Smith is just more convenient when it comes to trading.

  4. Forget Dirk Nowitzki. I'm not even sure Joe Johnson is any better than Jason Terry.

Man, if Jason Terry is better than Joe Johnson....what are we complaining about? The Hawks didn't underachieve, they overachieved..

People complain about this team. This player sucks. This player sucks. This player sucks. If all our players suck, we wouldn't have made the playoffs...we wouldn't have gotten past the first round...and we wouldn't have been close to advancing to the ECF.

  5. Im a litle confused. He keeps saying he wants momentum going into the playoffs, but then he says he wants to rest his guys.

Which is it? Go for the win or rest guys and dont care about the outcome? Personally, I think he should rest key players and

get the bench some time and get them confident. This way if we lose, it's no biggie. I think "momentum" going into the playoffs

means nothing if you burn out your starters in the process.

He plans to rest the guys in the next two games, but he plans to be back in the same rotation in the last two games.

  6. I'm convinced that LD pulls Josh for missing jumpers rather than taking jumpers. I call that poor coaching. That's like punishing your child for getting burned even though you've allowed him to play with fire without consequence in the past. Instead of LD making the media relations move of pulling Josh vs Boston he should made the more ballsy move and benched Josh after he goes 8-12 against the Nets.

Then you would complain that L.D. took Josh Smith when he was taking jumpshots.....seems like LD is in a no win situation here.

  7. I'm not a Josh Smith hater but tonight wasn't near a perfect game from him. He still took 6 perimeter shots and only made 1 of them. 5 of the perimeter shots came in the second half. He's definitely not the reason we lost though.

  8. LD definitely reads this forum and tried to make all of you happy by putting Teague in the game. TEAGUE SHOULD NOT HAVE TOUCHED THE BALL ON THE LAST POSSESSION. Craw and Joe should have brought it up, while whoever didn't have the ball ran around a corner screen to try to free themselves for a three. Put Marvin in the corner, Josh and Horf on opposites sides of the basket and we are set.

Yeah, I seriously doubt that. If he were to read this forum, Josh Smith would have stopped taking jumpers a long time ago.

Anyway, the Hawks didn't have a timeout. Teague is the only one quick enough to move the ball up the court against the Rockets full court press. I think putting Teague in was the right decision, LD just forgot to tell Teague to pass the ball when he was past halfcourt. Still, I'm not blaming Teague for this game. He had a real solid game on both ends tonight.

  9. Geez, where do I start?

    • I thought Al Horford was nothing but a Shelden Williams. I thought Yi was the best choice.
    • I thought Crittenton was the right choice for the #11 pick(instead of Acie). Neither really produced, but I would gladly take Acie.
    • I thought the Hawks should have drafted Marcus Williams or Brandon Roy (would have been the best choice) with the #5 pick. I thought Shelden sucked (I was right) and I thought Rondo was going to be mediocre.
    • I thought Speedy was a steal when we first got him.
    • I thought Salim Stoudamire was going to be a solid NBA player.
    • I thought Mo Evans was going to bring the same type of production Josh Childress gave us.
    • I thought Lorenzen Wright was a good signing (RIP).
    • I thought Josh Smith would eventually mature and become a deadly force in this league.
    • I said I would trade Horford before I would trade Josh Smith (before last season!)
    • I thought attendance would greatly improve after the Celtics playoff series.
    • I thought that firing Mike Woodson was going to solve most of the problems. Not even close. This team has full of holes.
    • I thought Josh Powell was going to be a darkhorse signing.
    • I honestly didn't think Joe Johnson was going to re-sign with us.

That's all I can think of. Pretty bad actually. That's why I'm more careful of what I say now. That's why I'm not completely jumping in the Jeff Teague bandwagon. That's why I'm not completely jumping off the LD bandwagon. That's why I'm not completely jumping off the Joe Johnson bandwagon.
