Personally I think:
Trae/DJM/Hunter/OO/KAT
Is better than
Trae/DJM/Hunter/JJ/CC

Gotta pay to play the game. It is what it is. Gotta push the chips in at some point.
Trae / Kobe / TyTy
DJM / Bogi
Hunter / AJG
OO / Vet PF? / Usman
KAT / Vet def C? / Gueye

I'd take him.
Trae/DJ/Bey/OO/KAT
Vet pg/Bogi/AJG/JJ/vet big

Right now... our FC rotation is good and will be better once we get Gallo Back tomorrow.
A healthy JC makes the difference. Couple that with more passing and we're good.
We definitely need Delon Back...
and we prolly need to move Bogi.
Bogi for Kelly Olynk/FRP works. It frees up some funds. Gives us a stretch big for our 3rd Center.
Bogi helps them in their development. We have one player less that's disgruntled.
Get Gallo back?

Hopefully Knox isn't back next year...

Here, let me throw out this depth chart and then tell you what it costs.
Trae/Wright/Cooper
Murray/Huerter/Mays
Hunter/Knox
Portis/JJ
Gobert/Robin Lopez
Approximately $136 million. Add in $5 million for Gallo's guarantee. $141 million.
You have $8 million to spend on 3 vet roster spots and still have the MLE.
That's a championship roster right there. It would suck to have to give up JC and OO to do it...but the goal isn't touchy feely, happy happy, lets all be together forever. The goal is a chip and that team can win one.
Please no Knox. Also any chance we can still trade for the rights to Micic as backup 1?
-
Any word on if we're still going after micic for backup PG?
-
Trae / micic / cooper
Huerter / #16 or vet min
Hunter / kenrich Williams
JC / JJ
Ayton / OO / vet min
That would be solid imo

Love better than Milsap and Green? If anything it's green > Milsap > love

OR
3 way between ATL/SAC/MIN http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=zuokb39
ATL: Gay/Koufos
SAC: Rubio/Scott/THJR
MIN: Tiago/Thabo/Picks

Tiago/THJR/Lamar/some 2nd rounders for Rudy would work http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=hkswhq7
Schröder/Delaney/(Pangos or Cotton)
Baze/Korver/Bembry
Gay/Thabo/Prince
Sap/Scott/Muscala
Dwight/Edy
That would leave us not very deep in the post at all and too many wings. So i'd rather do this trade: Tiago/Thabo/THJR/2nd rounders for Rudy/Koufos (probably have to throw Mike Scott in there too for salary purposes http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=jndvjqg
Schröder/Delaney/(Pangos or Cotton)
Baze/Korver/Bembry
Gay/ Prince
Sap/Muscala
Dwight/Koufos/Edy
Rudy can play some small ball 4 and with Prince and Bembry we have plenty of backup wings.

1. Agreed to sign guard Malcolm Delaney to a two-year contract
An interesting function of the rising NBA salary cap is it shouldn't be matched by any across-the-board increase of salaries in Europe, making it easier for NBA teams to bring quality veterans across the pond. Delaney qualifies as one of the better players in Euroleague in recent seasons.
Based on my Euroleague translations, Delaney projects as an average or slightly better backup point guard. He doesn't figure to be great in any particular area in the NBA, but he shoots the 3 well enough to space the floor and is a capable ballhandler. And while contract terms haven't yet been reported, given that the Hawks have only about $3 million in cap space, Delaney's likely to come much cheaper than the $6-7 million backup point guards like D.J. Augustin and Ish Smith have gotten so far this summer. So this should be good value for Atlanta.

Schröder / vetpg / Bembry
Baze / Korver / Bembry
Deng / Thabo / Prince
Sap / Muscala / Prince
AL / Splitter / Edy
Forgot about THJr... Hmm too many wings. I probably wouldn't resign Baze eventhough I think we will
I would look to trade Scott and/or Splitter. Prince can play small ball 4. He might end up pushing Thabo for minutes
-
Dennis / VetPG
Bazemore / Korver/ THJ/ Bembry
Deng / Thabo / Prince
Sap / Scott / Muscala
AL / Splitter / Edy
Too many wings IMO. I'd rather not resign Baze. Trade Scott fora backup PG. Can Prince play some small ball 4?
-
I like what I see of Sabonis. I really, really want Payton2 in the 2nd. Perfect for a backup pg: size, Defense, exceptional rebounding from the backcourt. A backup pg in the nba needs to be instant offense off the bench or defensive floor general imo. I like Felder with 54 if he's still there.

-
Which is unlikely imo. My ideal draft would be:
12: Sabonis
21: Valentine
44: Payton2 or Brodgon or LeVert
54: Gbinjie or Felder or ZimmermanAgain VERY unlikely we keep all these picks especially without using one pick on a draft and stash BUT I feel like this outcome would help our team especially our bench.
I would obviously like to trade 12/21 for top 6 pick butter not sure that’s going to happen. If it did Heild, Brown or Chriss would be nice.
Suppose you could so Poeltl and Bembry also. Not a huge fan of of Ellenson though. My guess is that we trade 12/21 for a young wing player. (Not what I would do though)

I'd do horford/holiday for nets 1st/Kelly onlyk/David Lee
-
True. But you're overly negative about everything the team does. We needed rebounding, size and interior defense. Things that killed us in the playoffs. We got all those for absolutely nothing. He's not overpaid in this NBA. Not even close. I don't see how anyone in their right mind can say it's a negative move. I'll give you the Thj, I'd rather had the rookie.Zaza >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Splitter and its not even that close.
See, two can play that game.

I wouldn't give up more than mack/Scott.

I still think we're moving Scott/Mack for wing help. What I wish for:
Mack/Scott/2nd (or future 1st) for Wilson Chandler.
1 - Teague, Schröder
2 - Korver, THJ, Baze
3 - Chandler, Thabo, Holiday, Daye (Or Patterson or find another 3rd stringer for PF)
4 - Sap, Moose
5 - Al, Splitter, Edy
-
In our offense there is NO difference between the 2 and 3. On defense however there is a difference. THJ can't guard 3's in this league IMO.
-
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=osaswbs
seems to work Salary wise. We would need to add a couple 2nd rounders or a first at most.
Teague / Dennis / VetPG
Korver / THJ / Baze
Chandler / Thabo
Milsap / Muscala / VetBIG
AL / Splitter / Edy
That's an improved team.
I hope the Siakam deal fails to go through.

I don't hate Siakam. I'd want to make sure he resigns. Also I'd only do Hunter, capela (3rd team), Kobe and 1sts
