Some potential wing players for the exception.

Splitter is getting $9 million. That's starter money. I'm not sure comparing the two is fair.
IMO we could have gotten a similar backup for much less, freeing us to go after a starting SF.
$9 million isn't starter money anymore in this era of the NBA. Getting Splitter for NOTHING was an absolute boss move
-
I like all of our moves. People like Alex who habitually piss and moan and no matter what moves are made aren't going to be happy but as of now the team is better. I still think they unload Mack/Scott and sign a SF.

Even with 20 mill for sap we've have roughly 22 mil under salary cap next year. That's plenty even with AL getting a raise

It's the same lineup as last year minus Dmc. If we were healthy and had a center (Tiago) we would've been competitive in that series. That's still a hot garbage lineup. That shit ain't going to beat Lebron.
-
That's pretty cheap for a above average center who knows the system. People don't realize the cap is exploding next year. Stop living in 2010.How could anyone want to pay 8million for Tiago?

More like
Teague
Korver
MLE wing (or thabo)
Sap
AL
Dennis
Thj
Thabo (or baze)
Moose (or scott)
Tiago
Probably need to trade Mack and Scott for space for a wing. And hopefully bring Edy over for 3rd big

How can anyone with any sense at all think that this is a bad move?? I wonder about some of our fans. Low bbiq imo

We didn't give up any players. Probably just a couple 2nd rounders at most. GREAT deal. We need to resign Milsap and sign and 3 and D SF. Team will be much improved with Tiago and THJ. Tiago is exactly what we needed in the playoffs and knows the system.

Good. If you stop watching a team because of uniforms then you have problems.Actually, they might have lost me. Next season would be 40 years as a fan but I can't watch a team that looks like clowns and expects people to take them seriously. There's no way to NOT see those jerseys.

So will red-white-black be our only colors? Does that mean they'll repaint the court?
Was said earlier that we looked into having a unique court that was called 'charcoal'. Our marketing team seemed to think having a cutting edge, unique court would lead to more people using the Hawks in NBA2k (and I guess NBA live if anyone plays that)
-
I like this guy but not at 15. My wish would be to take a pf at 15 (Lyles, Portis, frank) and trade back into the 1st for Anderson... Not going to happen though.
-
One of the wings in the 1st round (I like Winslow) and i'd trade up to early 2nd for RJ Hunter.
-
Wait, we might have new, cutting edge uniforms and a dark charcoal court next season?? Can't wait.

Well I guess they saw my logo and tweaked it! Pacman is back!

Anyone else think he could be a beast in Coach Bud's system? Maybe not a star but an efficient scorer. Hopefully Nets land us a top 10 pick and we can trade up into the lottery to get McDermott.

Wut? Apparently you haven't watched him at all this season. His passing has been great. Better than anyone on our team. If our guys could finish then he'd have double the assists. On the strength, he's only 20 and hasn't been in a NBA strength & conditioning program very long yet. Guy has a very bright future. (JMHO)"The Dennis" will be an average point guard at best throughout his career. Yes..he is quick...but he lacks passing skills due to playing with inferior competition in his younger days. He basically "hands the ball off" and has nothing like the court awareness of a guy like CP3. I hope I am wrong but I don't expect him to be much more than a "flash in the pan"...he isn't a great shooter and he is too light to go against a team that plays rough defense. He will hang around the league for 4/5 years and then go back to Europe where the competition is softer. (JMHO)

They're handling Teague/Schröder perfectly. Schröder isn't ready for a starting role (mainly bc it's a loooong season). Playing him around 20 minutes a game is perfect. When he's ready then they can trade Teague but it won't be for Rudy Gay. Our team is ran by statheads and Gay isn't a fit for that at all.

4. Dennis Schröder, Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks were shredded in Dallas but have to be happy with the play of their young point guard. He played with poise and confidence, far more like a veteran than a rookie.Never in a rush, he probed on ball-screen actions well and looked to occupy the helping big before finding the helper's man.

Was that you in the vintage green Hawks jersey behind the basket?
I haven't watched the game's broadcast yet, so not sure I know who you're talking about but no that wasn't me. I was behind the basket though, blue adidas Hawks basketball shirt and a local Asheville brew in hand.
-
Made the short trip to Asheville from Greenville last night.
- Dennis has a ton of potential but like any 19 year old rookie, he's going to have some rough spots. Sessions absolutely carved him up and baited him into numerous fouls last night. Dennis also fell in love with the 3 a little too much last night, most of the just rimming out. On the other hand he stayed aggressive and had a couple of really impressive pocket passes on sideline pick n rolls.
- Scott absolutely has a place on this team. He can stroke it and kind of reminds me of a poor man's Milsap.
- Milsap and DMC are going to be fan favorites. Both guys hustle and give 100% on every play. I was pleasantly surprised by DMC's ability to finish around the basket.
- Speaking of finishing around the basket (or lack thereof) Wilkins had a really, really rought night. Pretty sure he doesn't make the team (Not that there was much of a chance to anyways)
- Like what was said before Ivey > Mack.
- All in all this team's well constructed. Hopefully BeBe and Muscala can improved in Spain and come in ready to play next year along with our 2014 draft picks, should be a influx of talent next season.

Let the facts come out before crucifying the man. He didn't get pulled for suspicion of driving drunk, he got pulled for a tail light. Bud probably had a couple of glasses of wine and was scared he'd blow over so did what every lawyer friend has ever told me, deny it. In SC atleast they can't draw blood or anything, guess they do in GA?
-
I also like bringing him over. Some ATL fans think that we still have our previous coaches here (the ones that refuse to play rookies because of there (lack of) job security). We have a GM and a Coach that are on the same page and invested in each other. They both come from the best player development organization in the NBA. Hopefully they learned something in their time with the Spurs. All of our young guys will get some minutes this year and being around Vets and learning how to be a pro will be invaluable to BeBe.

Who cares? This guy isn't going to make or break the team. No reason to get excited or mad over it.
