What is it with Hawks fans and free agents? Okafor? Really? Why are Hall desperate for free agents? The roster is pretty much set.. why should Ferry keep signing mediocre players to this roster? Develop Muscala and Payne for the future and roll with Antić for a while. Millsap and Horford will average 25 to 30 mins per game. Where does Okafor fit? He won't get any playing time and he isn't worth a roster spot.

I don't think anyone is upset that he chose to leave. Its the way he left that made people upset. He had a TV show to announce where he would play and then had a party in south beach and infamously stated "not 1, not 2, not 3..." etc. That's what made me dislike him foe a while.

Did you see the shooting % numbers before and after Ibaka's injury ?

The Spurs simply bullied them in the paint since they had no shot blocking. His injury had a HUGE effect on the outcome of that series.

I realize that.. but when the series shifted back to San Antonio... the Spurs smacked them again.. and then at the end of game 6.. Duncan took it to Ibaka and schooled him.

The Spurs got lucky with Ibaka getting hurt in their series. Duncan did have to go through Aldridge in Round 2. Aldridge came off a phenomenal season. Bosh isn't exactly chopped liver but old man Duncan took it to him. Dalembert and Dirk took him to 7 games in Round 1.

He had an all star post player to beat in each round of the playoffs. Lucky for him the best defender out of the bunch was got hurt.

Ibaka alone wasn't going to stop the Spurs from destroying OKC.

I prefer Parsons. Good shooter, decent defense, shoots well from beyond the arc, and he occasionally attacks the rim.
