Because many here can be considered middle aged so nobody could get offended by that.

I am terribly sorry I called Kirk Hinrich; white, middle aged and Iowan...and I also would like to apologize in advance for any four letter word I associate with him when he gets beat by a defender or turns the ball over. I was just being silly by contrasting extremes, get over yourself

  2. figured the middle aged part would have given it away as not to be taken seriously...you guys need to drink some warm milk and r-e-l-a-x

and it is telling no one called me out for being an ageist

Al was an absolute mess out there tonight.  He was avoiding contact under the basket, getting bullied for rebounds, and kept demanding the ball to iso into a defended fadeaway from the mid post.

It's getting extremely frustrating to watch him out on the court with all the mistakes he's making.  He's so damned soft that he can't even make a move on Collison in the post.

Is it time to consider a trade at the deadline?

when you are a big man struggling to make shots- pulling up for an out of rhythm three just doesn't seem prudent

there are at least three kittens currently in splints due to al horfords play tonight

Good! I'm sick of friendships in the NBA over the regular season and playoffs with the opponent. This league is really soft when it comes to that so I love Teagues mentality as far as him not caring and just not givng a damn about DMC

no offense to DMC but he's no longer a hawk.

me too, I miss the early 90s hard nosed nba...when wade and libron had their super, secret, special handshake before their game this year I wanted to vomit

oh and I love me some jeff teague

Tim Hardaway's defense has been good honestly, he is sticking with his guy and fighting hard through screens.

you're right hes at -3 on the defensive plus minus....which is actually a career best for him

  6. I would start sap and bench al.  Sap is a little smaller but has always been a great rebounder for his size, plus he isn't the one jacking up ill timed 3s and taking 20 foot #2s.  Let Al sort his head out a bit, and don't punish our best player so far this season

  7. I'm from Augusta, GA and around here it's all about those soon to be National Champions Bulldawgz. The Atlanta Braves are right there with UGA as being really popular. I would say UGA takes over every sport here though.

I do know some Hawks fans though. Some of them are LeBron fans and "pull for the Hawks", but a lot of them rep the Hawks.

Edit: When I say soon to be, I'm going to say next year when I say UGA wins it all. I feel bad for the GT fans laying around here.

you should watch a tech game....I don't think you'll have to feel sorry for tech fans anytime soon man_in_love.gif

  8. after growing up in atlanta and joining the military after college- I saw a lot of the world; unfortunately, my old ball and chain wanted to live in macon- hell on earth...where the only sports memorabilia I see is camouflaged georgia stuff (it is tough on the eyes).  On the rare occasion that someone is wearing a nba related shirt or hat, it is always the lakers or whatever team lebron is on.

  9. Do you have cable or satellite?  I want to get NBA for Roku, but I thought I read you have to have a cable or satellite service already.

The answer: use a VPN.  It makes League Pass think you're in a different state so you can stream the Hawks in the market.

is there a vpn service you recommend?  I've never used one and I checked some of the sites and they are based in places like Romania and China...not too sure how legit they are

  10. for me and my household...everyday is Mutombo day, glad to see everyone else is catching on though crazy.gif

seriously though, a lot of these guys from the African nations have done some really amazing things for their home countries and deserve a lot of respect; Mutombo and Drogba especially
