  1. KB is right about this team’s need of a wing that can play defense. That to me is the biggest need.

I’m hoping some of the other wings like Little, Keldon Johnson, and Hunter show more of an offensive game because the Hawks probably won’t pick high enough for Reddish. He’d be perfect assuming he doesn’t have any red flags regarding his attitude.

  2. Lurker is right about rookie point guards usually sucking. Even the good ones did in the past.

I do think Trae is showing the signs you want out of a player with his ability. In today’s NBA, playmaking point guards are incredibly valuable and rare.

I swear everyone i seen all offseason was crapping on this upcoming draft saying how weak it is.  Im liking ALOT of the prospects in the top 10 or so in next years draft.  Some of them even more so than this years draft so i don't get why they think it's so weak unless they are talking about after the top 10 which i haven't gotten a chance to really look at much yet.

It really feels like the scouts jumped the gun with the complaining they were doing about this upcoming draft class. Barrett and Zion are rediculous prospects and the other players in the class haven’t fully made their mark yet. I don’t think the draft will be stacked but people were saying it was going to be historically weak.

At the very worst, this draft will be looked at similarly to the Ben Simmons/Ingram draft where it was billed as a two person draft going in.

  4. “Winning culture”

Winning culture really means having having high upside talent that can make a team a playoff team for the foreseeable future. Philly now has a winning culture after being horrendous going all the way back to 2013. The Warriors didn’t get a winning culture until Curry, Thompson, and Green showed they can carry a team together. If a strong winning culture was tied to ownership and coaching, the Mavericks would still have one despite not making the playoffs the past two seasons.

Dallas could easily be top 5 bad. Doncic is still a 19 year old rookie and won't dominate as a rookie. Probably looking at a 15-16ppg season from him if he does well. At best he will give them 2-3 extra wins.

Dallas supposedly is trying be more competitive next season. They have capspace while having a draft that will stabalize their ball-handling. I can easily see that pick in the 7-14 range.

  6. This is an incredibly odd draft. The Hawks picks aren’t terrible. Objectively, no one can say that. The decision to build a bootleg version of the Warriors however probably  is. The odds of a championship being won this way is slim. Maybe a pivot happens later on in the rebuild. I don’t know.
