With his shot blocking and rebounding why not throw him in there. What is his wingspan?

Here are Damp's career numbers according to NBA.COM career PPG 8.9 Reb 7.20 Blks 1.61 Fg% .450 last season numbers (playing for a contract) PPG 12.3 Reb 12.0 Blks 1.85 FG% .535 This is what we got with Collier last season without Walker or Harrington (who should both increase our rebounds) PPG 11.3 Reb 5.6 Blk .55 FG% 47.9 We don't need Damp in my opinion. It is quite obvious he doesn't want to play for us and when he gets that guaranteed money he is going to slack off again. It is so obvious. Collier is a helluva alot cheaper and he played less minutes than Damp last season. With Collier we should get about 20+ rebounds from our front court next season. Why pay Damp because he had a good season last year? He will be a albatross around the neck of this franchise. Maybe we can do a sign and trade for Kurt Thomas? Damp does not want to come here so [censored] him!!!

You figure that they would have learened their after Jordan Left the game. I see the damn tv scheldue and it is all lakers, cavs, and Heat. shouldn't they promote the league as a whole?? That is why the NBA is in the shape that it is in right now. what if Kobe goes to jail (a high probability). Just look at the NFL-the number one league in the world and look at their marketing. If they sell the game instead of selling it as the sport that Kobe plays or the sport that the Lakers play they wouldn't have to worry about sagging ratings. they could have one of the stations offering the best matchup. What if the Lkaers or heat suffer a disappointing season then we will be stuck with crappy games. Th league is heading for doom. I would rather see a good game rather than so-called superstars in what is the ultimate team sport. Then they wonder why some fans and players accuse the league of wanting certain teams to succeed (lakers) and some others not too. Remember when they changed the number of first round games when it looked as if the Lakers weren't going to waltz to the finals.

He said so on the draft interview so why are all these idiots complaining about us having players who play the same position. Vince Carter was a forward in college and T-Mac was a forward before he came to the magic. The positions are pretty much interchangeable if your name isn't Big Dog!

I agree but there are alot of ifs involved and I wouldn't want to give up two first rounders for him either.

If we are going to sign Kmart, then we need to draft Josh smith. Are smith and Howard that far apart in talent for us to give the 6th and 17th pick for Howard? I got a bad feeling about this kid and it is not in a good way.

Whether he starts or not next year we need to keep him. I have been to several Hawks games and he is a baller. I say we find a good coach and get the best available talent in the draft and see what shakes loose in the Free agent market> i think that too many of you guys are unfairly calling for JT's head. The reason why no other teams went after him last summer was because the Hawks made it clear that they were going to match any offer. For all of his faults he is a productive player. You watch if he leaves the Hawks he will go to another team and blow up. If Jamal Tinsley, Bibby, or Crawford are better than JT it is not by much. Jamal Crawford?? Have you guys seen the Bulls play this year? Half the trades that you guys are putting up don't make any sense. The only thing that seperates Jt from Steve Francis is about 5-8 more shots a game. Let's not forget for the numbers that he puts up, he is really coming at a bargain price.

I haven't heard any trade rumors. I don't think that there will be too many vets that really want to play for the 15-year rebuilding plan that is the Clipper and the bulls.

He stated that they have no timetable set for selecting a coach but that they know what kind of team they want to have next year and that is a uptempo runnin and gunnin team. he dodged alot of questions and pretty much said that billy knight was runnning the show.
