  1. i Know the Pacers have gotten new jerseys -- i've searched endlessly trying to find a sneak peek -- i've found a few forums that HAD them posted at one point -- but the images were all down......

the closest i've seen was the ESPN video of the photoshoot...

when the photographer was done taking the photo of the rookie class outside -- and all the rookies walked away --

Sarunas Jasikevicius was walking down the hill...and i got a glimpse of his shorts....he was just wearing a solid sleeveless top to avoid the jersey being seen early.....and stood behind others in the picture so it wouldnt be seen...

ARGGGG i wanna see the jerseys!

    anyone seen em?

or have a pic by chance!?

  2. WOOOO!

    Hawks Representation.

i dont see why many others wouldnt jump at the chance to do this!?

for alot of players it'd be their 1st and only chance to be in

an "all star" kind of game....

alot of players in this league have something to prove...

    so why not!?

is it a matter of teams giving permission? seems the best players in the league are already signed up -- why not

    any rising stars?

  3. i think Harrinton and delk is TOOOOOOOOO much for bynum

"This should please all Hawks fans, b/c we all were waiting to get rid of Harrington, but this time it isn't for someone's scraps."

i really dont believe that either -- most logical fans i've seen would like to keep harrington and see what we can make of him and his combo w/ the team.

am i crazy to think that?!?

  4. it's not like whoever the "bright" guy was....just thoought that gold color up out of thin air...

Gold has been one of our main colors since 1982 i believe it was...

    Red, White, Black, and Gold.......

We have worn the same uni's since this 99-00 season and if i'm sure a majority of people on this forum would love to forget those years of doom...

I personally think it was an AWSOME move on the part of the Hawks to debut something new......something fresh for this season past....

they modified the away jersey a bit - adding more red to the trim, and added a completely new Alternate jersey -- the one you speak of.

I think this was a move on part not only -- to introduce something new and fresh (in accordance with our new roster and "restart" theme)-- it ALSO incorporates "ATLANTA" proudly on the front. Atlanta has been missing from our jersys for a LONG time - since 75' im not mistaken - And the ownership is TRYING to make something of this team -- trying to make atlanta marketable again.

i dont know what everyone else thinks -- but i love the alternate jersey - and i'm Proud of my City....and extremely happy that my city's name is on display again...

  5. well that's understandable....

my point however -- all this trade talk for chillz happned welllllll before any MENTION of a JJ trade ever happned...

he's been on the "imaginary trade block" for a long time now.. and i never understood why.

  6. someone please explain to me why everyone wants to trade childress......if anyone.

why? what makes him SOOO expendable!?

seems to be such a commonly held belief that childress is expendable -- when I see him as having the most potential when compared to the flashy smoove.....

does noone else see him as a leader of the future?

  7. "he'd be a great complementary piece on a team far better than we currently are, one aiming to move deeply into the playoffs and maybe even shoot for a championship. "

im VERY curious as to what new jersey is thikning......could he fit the puzzle ANY better?

  8. I've seen several detroit rumors involving sheed and big been lately......so im curious,

what reason does detroit have to trade them?!?

are they just scared that others teams are built and/or building to beat them now?

  9. my apologies -- in a rush, and couldnt find that recent post on how to make this easier to read in the forums, if someone could do that for me, it's much appreciated!

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks and Phoenix Suns were awaiting approval from the NBA on a sign-and-trade deal that would send guard Joe Johnson to the Hawks, an agent involved with the deal said Tuesday.

The Hawks would send Phoenix two first-round picks, second-year guard Boris Diaw and a $4.9 million trade exception for the 6-foot-8 Johnson.

Diaw's agent, Doug Neustadt, said his client was excited about the chance to play for a team that had the best record in the Western Conference last season.

"If this goes through, he's going to a playoff team and he is excited about going to a good team," Neustadt said.

Suns president Bryan Colangelo declined comment on the deal "until our business is complete." Hawks general manager Billy Knight could not be reached.

Because Tuesday ended a monthlong moratorium on trades and signings, there was an apparent backlog for league attorneys to approve.

The 24-year-old Johnson averaged 17.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists with the Suns last season. He first must sign a five-year, $69.6 million contract with Phoenix that would include a 2005-06 salary of about $20 million. He would become the Hawks' highest-paid player.

Johnson is a restricted free agent, meaning the Suns can match other offers, but he told ESPN.com last week that he asked Suns owner Robert Sarver to let him go to the Hawks. The teams then worked out a deal involving Diaw and the two first-round picks.

Diaw, also a 6-8 guard, averaged only 4.8 points and 2.6 rebounds last season.

The Hawks are coming off a league-worst 13-69 season, the poorest record in franchise history. The team hopes Johnson can play point guard and give the team an unusually big backcourt.

Josh Childress, yet another 6-8 player, finished his rookie season as the team's starting shooting guard.

The Hawks also are looking for a center to bolster a front line that already includes forwards Al Harrington, Josh Smith and the team's No. 1 pick, Marvin Williams.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Tuesday the team has made an offer to sign Milwaukee center Zaza Pachulia, a restricted free agent who averaged 6.2 points and 5.1 rebounds in a backup role for the Bucks last season.

  10. AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- The Detroit Pistons exercised their team option on Darko Milicic on Thursday, keeping the 20-year-old center under contract for the next two seasons.

    Darko Milicic

"We are pleased to have Darko Milicic signed through the 2006-07 season and we look forward to seeing his continued growth as a player," said Joe Dumars, the Pistons' president of basketball operations. "Darko was able to play a lot of minutes during summer league this July and we are happy that he is on Serbia-Montenegro's roster during the European Championships this September."

Dumars drafted Milicic with the second overall pick in the 2003 draft, behind LeBron James and ahead of players who have developed much more rapidly, including Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

The 7-foot, 245-pound Milicic has averaged 1.6 points and 1.2 rebounds in 71 games over two seasons with Detroit.

those stats just seem pitiful when you step away from the "potential" aspect so many people take on darko.

what bearing does this have on us, and the al/darko rumors?
